Q: can you stand the phone on it's side without it falling over??
A: No, you cannot. I tried to watch the NFL channel that way and it wouldn't work. Sorry.
A: Yes, that was one of my concerns too. As a soft-ish case it covers all corners but as someone who is extremely hard on phones and cases I purchased a glass screen cover as extra protection/insurance.

A: This clear case does not damage any part of the iPhone , it does its job 100% without any issues

A: It is a flexible rubber like material. Not hard plastic.
A: Probably not, haven't dropped mine....I do have glass protector on mine also, but its a simple case not for dropping.
