Works great! Very easy to install!! Comes with CD to install. Only gave 4 stars due to had to call the company to get directions on how to download off the internet to install since my computer does not have CD Drive and the directions do not tell you if you are able to download to get it installed. I would have given it 5 stars. Company Customer Service was great and got it installed right away.

This is an Insignia USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter, and it works fine.

Just what I needed to connect my laptop to the modem. Easy to use. Plugs in quickly. Wished it was a little less expensive. I guess that's what one pays when one needs it right away.

This works great in providing internet directly to my laptop for me to work at home! I love it!!!

Not a lot to say about an adapter. It works as designed and I use it every day. I never liked white as a cable color but whatever.

Box says 10 gbps in multiple places. And even if this was a 10 Gbit/sec ethernet interface, USB 3.0 is only 5 Gbps. Aside from this it works great, plug and play and is a good value!

Needed an Ethernet interface for my new Dell laptop to set up my security system. It is now done and I feel safe again.

I lost ALL networking capabilities when I Installed the driver for this on my 2015 MacBook Pro running MacOS High Sierra. Wifi wouldn't work, ethernet wouldn't work. Complete loss of connectivity. After I got it yesterday morning, I spent the rest of the day trying to recover from the driver installation. What a terrible way to spend a Saturday. The Geek Squad technician at my local Best Buy spent over an hour trying to fix the problem. Nothing she did would work. I had to reinstall the operating system to get my networking back. Save yourself the pain and get something else!

i used this for a couple of days and the insulation has a hole in it now and the wires are showing through , didnt last

When my internet provided said: "Just plug in an ethernet cable from your laptop to our gateway modem." I reached for my ethernet cable, and to my surprise, there was no place to plug it in on my 2015 MacBook Pro. (Not too sure what so "Pro" about that?) So off to BestBuy after reading favorable reviews about this product on their web-sight. There are more expensive ones, but they couldn't be any easier or faster than this one. Highly recommended ...

If you have fast internet service at home (cable modem at a high bitrate, or Fibre) then this little USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter is stellar. You can get full gigabit speeds on wired Ethernet - and end-to-end I measured 600 Mbit of bandwidth on my gigabit fiber, so it's clearly not bottlenecking at 480Mbit or similar USB 2.0 speeds. Worked great with both MacOS and Windows 10. The product is very impressive in looks and performance, especially for a house brand. Great job Best Buy!!!

This USB to ethernet adapter works great! I keep it in my laptop case along with my charger, mouse, and hdmi cable. It's super compact and allows me to connect to wired connections on those rare occation when they're the only option. I use it with my 11" Dell Inpiron that obviously doesn't have a built in ethernet port. I can't comment on the performance past 100Mbps, as that is my home internet connection speed but I decided to go for the Gigabit adapter because it was just a few dollars more and I'd rather have the ability to use the speed if I need to.

I have a laptop for work that in Lenovo's infinite wisdom does not have an Ethernet port. So, while traveling on a business trip where I absolutely had to have wired connectivity, I stopped to pick this up. I tried Staples, Walmart, but Best Buy came to the rescue. Should have known to come here first. This was only a couple bucks more than the 100M version, so I figured I'd splurge. Works great!

I bought a used MacBook, a unfortunately the ethernet port was messed-up by the previous user. This adapter works great! Let me hardwire an internet connection for better speed than WiFi. Easy/fast plug-and-play use.

This adapter does its job reliably and without any observable effect on signal strength or speed. It is easy to use because it is invisible to the user after connecting the cable, adapter, and computer. The short cable and small connector size make it very compact and handy.

I use this adapter with my laptop and it does its job very well. It's very simple and is easy to store when traveling. One small issue I have is that it does not work with my Nintendo Switch, but I do not think this is advertised in the product. Just know that if you plan to use this on a your Nintendo Switch, it may not work. All together, it's a very simple product that does its job without any issues. It may be a little more expensive than other options, but you get a good product for the small price you pay.

Works on windows 10, 8.1 and 7. You do have to install the drivers disc before use. Does work with usb 2.0 and 3.0. I bought it to test connection speeds for work. It has worked exactly how we needed it to so far!

I have been able to use it with Windows 10 and with Ubuntu 16.04 on my laptop, which is dual boot, connected to the USB 3.0 connector. No drivers were needed for either OS, and it is a very fast ethernet connection.

I recently bought the perfect laptop to use at work, only to realize I missed one small detail - an Ethernet port (my office has horrible Wi-Fi). I was not going to return the laptop over this small detail, so I bought this adapter to fix my "problem". It was a great choice. Extremely easy to install (just plugged it into an open port), and I was surfing the web and accessing network resources in no time flat. Super speed at a super price. Extremely satisfied!

I desperately sought out one of these at every store I could near me so that I could get a wired connection which was required for EVERY work from home job I applied to and I couldn’t find it or anything like it ANYWHERE!! A guy in electronics at Walmart ignorantly told me that the only way I could get wired internet was to go through my internet provider although I knew 100% that that was FALSE thanks to YouTube videos (I’ve never been a techie) and I FINALLY found what I needed through Best Buy. I was able to take the test required to see if my service met the required standards for the wfh position I applied to- and with this it showed that I had a wired connection. I got an interview, and l got the job! As someone who is (soon to be WAS) an essential worker who has underlying health issues- I NEEDED to find a position that would allow me the safety of working from home- and thanks to this small little thing, I got it!!!! God is GREAT! I love Best Buy!!!
