I needed a small USB keyboard and mouse to fit on my Bridgeport CNC milling machine. The Insignia Keyboard and mouse combo fit both of those requirements and was not as expensive as other choices. I temporarily had a wireless keyboard attached to my CNC machine and discovered that batteries failing in the middle of a milling operation can have devastating effects on both the work and the machine. Because of this I had to remove my wireless keyboard and mouse in favor of a small lightweight USB keyboard and mouse. Insignia keyboard and mouse kit was inexpensive, small, and fit the already mounted keyboard tray perfectly! Coupled with an Insignia™ - 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub it solved several problems at once. First was the wireless keyboard and mouse were to large for the preformed keyboard tray. There is nothing worse than the keyboard falling from the tray and upon hitting the floor executing a random command on my 2600 lb, 2 Hp, milling machine. Secondly the milling process itself creates a very noisy RF environment and could make the keyboards response marginal at times. Thirdly I needed to plug in a thumb drive from time to time so the USB hub was a life saver since I had already run out of USB ports on my older PC. Lastly as previously mentioned having a keyboards' batteries die during a milling operation can be costly in damage to the part and the machine as I discovered promptly after the batteries failed during a test mill operation. Unfortunately for me I had not noticed the machine wasn't under control until it slammed the milling head home tripping the Emergency stop automatically and jamming the quill requiring dis-assembly for repair. For an inexpensive and lightweight keyboard and mouse combination when wireless is not an option you can't do much better. John C

I was on the hunt for a nice, yet cheap mouse and keyboard for my Raspberry Pi. The mouse and keyboard worked right away when plugged into my Pi. The keyboard is comfortable, but the key strikes are relatively loud. The mouse works well without any complaints. Both are wired so you do not need any batteries to use them. Also will work with your home computer, or laptop, just plug and play.

I purchased this product for my Husband's new job, and he love it. Only complaint from him is that the paint is already coming off the keys on keyboard and he has only been using it for 3 months.

This has worked as a good work keyboard for me, I use it when building systems and need a basic USB keyboard and mouse to boot windows. The keyboard and mouse are NOT attached, the picture gives that impression, but each has its own USB and cord and requires its own usb plug. Neither is great as an everyday keyboard or mouse, but for the few minutes in which I use it, for each computer build, it does the job. I would recommend it for basic use and if you want something light and easy to move around.

I originally have an apple wireless keyboard $69 but got tired changing batteries every 2-3 months, and my keyboard's battery goes out in the most unopportune time, so I finally decided to buy a usb keyboard and mouse $12.99. It is compatible, and will save you more money by avoiding to have to purchase replacement batteries in the future. I will save between $20-$25 a year in batteries.

Needed a new mouse. Big price differences between the least and most expensive. Happened upon this keyboard and mouse combo. It cost less than the least expensive mouse alone. My keyboard was getting full of the grandchildren's crumbs, so I purchased this combo and replaced both items. Perfectly satisfied with keyboard and mouse. Great deal.

Bought this keyboard to enable me to access HP laptop files. HP keyboard went out and we have not been able to find a keyboard for replacement. I remembered that a desktop keyboard could be used and it works great for my mom to have access to her files. In addition, it was an inexpensive 'Bandaid' fix.

Having needed to elevate my laptop to work efficiently with my (never before needed) newly prescribed glasses, I purchased this keyboard and mouse combo. The keys are pretty and sleek, the keyboard lightweight - and while it may take some getting used to - both get the intended job done. From removal out of the box to plug-in, both were ready to use instantly! All for the sale price of $8.99!

The Insignia - USB Keyboard and USB Optical Mouse bundle is a great value. Both items seem well made and sturdy. In my opinion, the keyboard is better than most standard keyboards. I would highly recommend this purchase for anyone in need of a basic keyboard and mouse.

Both items were purchased as replacements. They do the job. My son is happy with the keyboard. It is a basic model and he likes it that way. I used the mouse. It is bigger than I wanted but great for use at home. I will get another for traveling.

When I switched from my 7-years old, DOS operated computer to an Apple mini box I could have used the old keyboard, but decided on a new one for two main reasons: the old keyboard, although basically compatible, did not have some of the features of the Apple ones (for example, it did not have the "command" key). Also although the key arrangement and size were about the same, the old board was much bigger overall, surrounded by lots of plastic (supposedly to make it more "ergonomic", but I notice no difference in use). The new keyboard makes my desktop less cluttered. Finally, the old keyboard and mouse were wireless, the new ones are wired and I do not see any difference in usage except of not having to waist electricity to keep the batteries of the keyboard and mouse charged at all times.

Purchased to set up a raspberry pi, and for less than the cost of any other keyboards (or mice) in the store was able to get both. Keyboard and mouse both work perfectly with the Pi out the box(despite saying windows only).

The mouse and keyboard combo does everything it’s supposed to do. Mouse is a bit large for smaller hands but works great. Keyboard is one of the best I’ve typed on especially considering the low price!

Purchased this after my young grandson spilled something and ruined my more expensive apple keyboard. This keyboard works just as well as the apple keyboard but at less than $15 I can afford to replace this one!

When I went tot Best Buy to purchase a new keyboard, I didn't expect to find a bargain where I could purchase the keyboard and mouse together. Both products are great and easy to use.

I use this keyboard mouse combo with a laptop. While going wired isn't as convenient as wireless/Bluetooth, it is reliable - works every time, doesn't need batteries and is cheaper.

Good keyboard at a reasonable price. And a decent mouse. Looking for something to replace a keyboard and mouse on an older computer and we found this one and it did the job !

If you need a wired mouse/keyboard for general use you cannot beat this price point. Works great right out of the box. no drivers needed. no problems, looks good on desk.

Bought an HP ENVY all in one computer with 27" monitor. Wireless keyboard and mouse that came with it was terrible. Strike a letter on keyboard and most of the time nothing happened but sometimes the letter would come up 5 or 6 time. Going back and trying to make correction each time this happened was time consuming! The wireless mouse was awful, even when i placed it at the same level as the computer. This inexpensive keyboard with mouse (both wired) even has keys to lower or higher sound as well as a refresh key. Overall a great bargain!
