Necessary for install.
My Insinkerator Evolution 1hp Garbage Disposal needed this cord to be attached to the bottom of the disposal before installation. I also bought an Insinkerator deck mounted air switch, which is easier for me to use rather than reaching across the counter to flip a switch on the wall. The power cord plugs into the box for the air switch, and the air switch plugs into the 110v outlet under the sink. It is necessary to power the disposal and works as intended. You don’t need to install an air switch, but you do need to be connected to a power source.

Excellent product
Easy install. Sturdy feel. Hooked it up myself in seconds, minutes. I was going to pirate old cord off old Disposal to attach to new Disposal-- but... figured old one was eight, maybe 10 years old. So for the LOW PRICE, why not install a new cord and be able to sleep at night.

Good quality
This cord is essential for the Badger and seems to be good quality. It probably should come with the product. Luckily the package from BestBuy does come with it!

It come with cord, oh yeah! Where’s the flange?
Have the cord. Don’t know if it works yet or not because I can install the darn thing because it’s missing the flange that was suppose to be with it.
