This is a polarized plug module, so you can only use it on the bottom wall oulet, unless you wish to block the entire wall outlet. Other than that, the unit works nicely, and has a manual on/off switch as well as dimmable manual controls. If you use with an Insteon system, you can also program the module.

These Lamplinc dimmers work 100% of the time in our home automation system. They also look great. I use them to automatically turn on the lamps to 50% in our living room at dusk. I also have a couple of these that I move to different spots throughout the year to automatically turn on Christmas/Halloween decorations, etc. when the door opens or at a certain time of day (I have an Insteon hidden door sensor to trigger things when the door opens). I'd recommend these Lamplinc dimmers to anyone.

Choose to buy at Best Buy so that I could return/exchange easily if needed. Works as expected, same price as online retailers.
