Customer Ratings & Reviews

Great powerful cpu overall, insanely massive upgrade from my 6700HQ. The 14900K is difficult to keep cool to say the least, especially under full load. Running an Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 that while gaming keeps it at a cool 55-65C after hours. While running the cpu at full load it does instantly spike to 100C & stay there until the load goes down. Extremely fast & great overall cpu if you don’t mind making your gaming room a sauna LOL. Highly recommend, don’t bother with the KS model for the massive price difference for 200mhz more clock speed, you can easily clock this K model up to that in your bios if you really want the 6.2GHz for some reason.

I recently upgraded to the Intel Core i9-14900K 14th Gen 24-Core 32-Thread, and this processor is an absolute beast! Whether you're into gaming, content creation, or just want an over-the-top powerful system, this CPU delivers on all fronts. Here's my experience after using it in my build: Pros: Insane Performance: With 24 cores and 32 threads, multitasking is a breeze. I’m running everything from games to heavy video editing and 3D rendering without any hiccups. The base clock of 4.4GHz is already super fast, but when it boosts up to 6.0GHz in Turbo mode, it's like nothing I’ve ever seen! Gaming Beast: I’m a gamer, and this CPU absolutely crushes any game I throw at it. Paired with an RTX 4090, I’m getting smooth frame rates at 4K ultra settings, and games load incredibly fast. If you’re looking to max out games while streaming or running background processes, this processor handles it all effortlessly. Overclocking Potential: Being unlocked, I pushed this chip beyond the factory settings, and it’s handled overclocking like a champ. The thermals are surprisingly good when paired with a solid cooling solution, and the performance gains are noticeable in both gaming and productivity tasks. Future-Proofing: With 24 cores and the LGA 1700 socket, this CPU is ready for anything you throw at it, now and for years to come. Plus, it's DDR5 compatible, so you’re set with the latest RAM speeds for a long time. Cons: Price: This is a premium processor, and the price reflects that. If you’re a casual user or just looking to game at 1080p, this might be overkill. But if you need a powerhouse for gaming, content creation, or future-proofing your rig, it’s worth the investment. Runs Hot: When pushed to the limit, especially when overclocked, it can get hot. I highly recommend a high-quality liquid cooler or a top-end air cooler to keep those temps under control. Overall: The Intel Core i9-14900K is an absolute monster in terms of power and performance. It handles anything you throw at it with ease, from hardcore gaming to productivity and content creation. Yes, it’s pricey and can run hot, but if you want the best of the best, this CPU is worth every penny. Perfect for enthusiasts and professionals who need cutting-edge performance! Highly recommend!

I've been using the Intel Core i9-14900K for a while now, and it's safe to say that this processor is a beast. It operates at a clock speed of 2.4 GHz, which is impressive and provides a smooth and fast computing experience. One of the standout features of the i9-14900K is its 24 cores and 32 threads. This means it can handle multiple tasks simultaneously without any hiccups. Whether you're gaming, streaming, or running heavy applications, this CPU can handle it all. The i9-14900K also comes with Intel UHD Graphics 770, which delivers clear, crisp visuals. This is a big plus for gamers and content creators who need high-quality graphics. However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. The i9-14900K tends to run a bit hot under heavy load. This isn't a deal-breaker, but it's something to keep in mind if you plan on pushing this CPU to its limits regularly. Despite this minor setback, the Intel Core i9-14900K is a top-tier processor that offers excellent performance. It's a bit pricey, coming in at $547.50, but you're definitely getting your money's worth. I would rate it a solid 4 out of 5. In conclusion, if you're looking for a high-performance CPU that can handle heavy workloads with ease, the Intel Core i9-14900K is a great choice

The Intel Core i9-14000K is a beast for both gaming and work. For gaming, it handles 4K and demanding titles with smooth frame rates and zero lag, delivering an ultra-responsive experience. On the work side, its multi-core power makes light work of tasks like video editing, 3D rendering, and multitasking across heavy apps. It stays cool and quiet even under load, which is a big win. If you need top-tier performance for both gaming and productivity, the i9-14000K is definitely worth it.

Monster of CPU i would recomend 100% for those who are more inclined to play with the bios and do some adjustments to control overheating because it will instantly go to 100 out the box even with 360 aio like i said solution is in the bios , i got my pc to work stable in heavy load at 60 i upgrade from i7 12700k to i914900k and it’s worth it

I personally have not had the problems everyone is having with this processor. I have it paired up with an Artic freeze liquid cooler and after the new bios updates that control the power better, I've not had any overheating at all. Just make sure to follow Intel's setting and not your mobo as you mobo will set the power too high. I'm happy with this processor and the benchmarks on this bad boy beat out even the newest of processors.

This thing is lightning fast! I upgraded from an i9 9900K so obviously the generational leap was significant. I was on the fence due to the over voltage issues that were present since release, but with the latest Bios update they seemed to have fixed the issue, and ample amiunts of research gave me the confidence to pull the trigger on this 14th Gen monster. I have this running on a performance profile, and when paired with the Corsair Link Titan AIO, my temps idle at 29C, and never go over 55C under load for demanding games or wheb rendering video files. Worth noting that I installed a contact frame on my motherboard and have additional VRM cooling that helps keep everything nice and chill. So far so good. No blue screens, and thermal throttling while stress testing is within the limits of what you would expect to protect the CPU from damage. Overall I am happy and glad that I went with the I9 14900K. With 24 Cores and 32 Threads My machine should be future proof for the foreseeable future.

Runs hot and high voltage out the box but has the built in functionality to handle it. optimized for gaming getting a smooth 6.3Ghz / 5.7 with HT off and current was cut in half while boosting game performance considerably. crappy cooling IHS but its a great cpu

The Intel Core i9-13900K is an absolute powerhouse for heavy tasks like video editing, 3D rendering, and gaming. With 24 cores, it delivers amazing multi-threaded performance, making everything feel fast and smooth. I’ve noticed that it performs excellently in gaming, though it's probably overkill for casual users. The integrated graphics work fine for light gaming, but you'll need a dedicated GPU for the best experience. One thing to keep in mind is the heat—it gets really hot, often hitting 100°C under load. You'll definitely need a solid cooling setup to keep it running well. Overall, if you want top-tier performance and don't mind investing in cooling, the i9-13900K is an impressive choice.

Much better to go with Intel over AMD if you are using your build for productivity, editing, etc. I livestream on multiple platforms and tested both AMD and this i9. Intel was definitely the move.

14900k run at 5.7 out off the box but a little issue with heat.. I get 100 C most of the timr

Absolutely, no issue great, CPU paired with the 5080 asus rog averaging over 200 FPS

Sadly the P and E cores are well sub par, So the voltage needed out of the box is more than an average quality chip. I may have to drop my ASUS RYUJIN III 360 aio and go to an EK Nucleus Lux 360 or the Direct Die and delid the chip... It's that or keep the chip so micromanaged it runs cooler. Have seen intel post intel cannot even fullfil 13900k RMA's and with the 14900k/kf/ks headed out the door for next gen it's about to have the same happen to it I imagine if you need an RMA. They have set the frequencies and voltages so high on these chips to out do their competitors in the tech tubers charts of marketing bs of benching making our lives as the end user more difficult. If it was not for me being an Extreme Enthusiast/XOCer this chip would have probably already degraded already not being micromanaged as much as I have it to get the vcore, vid and temps down. At least this one works and didn't die in one day and a wakeup like my last one did.

This is a fast processor and it runs hot on default motherboard settings. In the BIOS change the settings to enforce all Intel limits to prolong the life of the chip. Which is not the default setting. With that setting the CPU runs a lot cooler and is even scoring higher in Cinebench R23.

Upgrading to the Intel i9 was a game changer. With 24 cores and blazing clock speeds, my editing workflow is smoother than ever. But it’s not just power—it reignited my passion for content creation. This processor delivers speed, stability, and inspiration.

Upgraded to this from my I9-9900k and WOW, what an upgrade! I play tons of video games and edit and upload videos daily, and this thing RIPS through those processes like nothing.. i edited a 5+ minute video in 2k resolution and it took less than 4 minutes to render! I get that this isn't too much better than the 13th gen, but for me, this upgrade was well worth it!

This thing is a beast. Had no problem running anything I throw at it and then some. It does run hot so make sure you get a AIO for it if you want to do any OC'ing.

CPU is amazing!!! I got a contact frame to keep temps low. Paired with my RTX 4090 this things is genuinely a beast. Temps stay around 65 even under heavy loads of gaming at 4K ultra on a 4k 240hz QD-Oled monitor.

Team Blue for the win. Stable chip. Cool forbidden eggo packaging! I updated my BIOS with a 12500T before installing this so it won't get stressed from faulty processor profiles. Only using Intel stock settings. About 8% better than the 13900K

FAST!!! Took back my i9-13900K since it was still under the return period as a total tech member, and purchased this i9-1400K.
