I have used this product before as an AOL add-in. Be aware that the item is a one year subscription and must be renewed in order to be updated. It does a nice job with removing junk files and keeping the registry in good condition. Also finds malware etc. received the box which contains a card with the code. You have to sign into their website in order to download to your computer. There is no disc in the box.

I bought both versions of the product yes this had more features than the standard version did but it alittle confusing to use its got anti virus and anti malware and afew other features i tried out that don't seem to clash with my main security suite i wouldn't advise trying to use the anti virus system with kaspersky internet security suite it will probably say you need to remove the program or shut it off because i tried using malware bytes it didn't like it at all

Easy to install. Notifies you automatically when computer requires cleanup or repairs. Customer Support will answer your questions when called but will try to sell you services you don't need or want.

I have used this product for a few years and recently renewed. Now, I'm sorry I did. There is an annoying pop up that shows up in the corner of the screen that I have to keep closing multiple times, and there is no way to get rid of it! Deleting the product. Enough is enough!

I have used this software for over 10 years, and love it.

This has always been a go-to product for me. However, System Mechanic recently changed from physical disc to strictly download. This, in my experience, has made downloading so difficult that I have to call customer service to get help with the installation. If that isn't enough, the license is always a year out of date! Next year, I'm going with something else.

I bought this for my new laptop. I've used SMUD for several years on my main computer and former laptops.

I have used System Mechanic for several years with very few problems.

This version is different than most System Mechanics. Currently kinda jaded because I used it to restore my laptop and it did but now it doesn't want to reinstall windows. I know how to fix it. I just thought that was inconvenient for a product to offer restorative services without being able to reinstall the OS.

they don't tell you about a the little things you need to do before installing it.. i recommend doing your research before putting the program on your machine

I bought this item, took it home, downloaded it and when it started installing into the computer, I got this virus warning on my computer and it showed a phone number to call, so i called with that company but he could not help me. He advised me to call Best Buy about the problem. I took it back but they advised me there was nothing they could do except exchange it for another program like the one i bought, I do not recommend this item to anyone.

Heads up to everyone that this product is an annual subscription, and not a one-time purchase kind of thing, despite there being no indication of this anywhere on the box. Cheap technique to make more money at the expense of consumers. Otherwise, I would have given this product 5 stars. Shame.

The iolo technologies-System Mechanic Ultimate Defense got good ratings so we tried it, because my computer was running very, very slow. I don't know if it helped at all, because it was still very slow and it wouldn't let me log into one of my emails and wouldn't let my grandson do half the activities on ABCMouse, So, since the computer rendered near useless, my husband removed the "Defense" and cleared off almost everything else on the computer too. It's usable now, as a back up, but we had to get me a new computer. Our computer is only 4 years old, so a "total performance" Ultimate Defense should have fixed the issues with it, not given us more issues.

Excellent software for keeping my computer running smoothly and without malware issues. Easy to install and utilize.

Software works great I am even using the antivirus and it updates flawlessly

I have been using iolo System Mechanic, because it’s a good utility that will clear junk from your OS, boost system speed, and perform other crucial tasks in the background. I have tried other products like CCleaner, but I haven’t been convicted that it’s any better that iolo! The best alternative is BleachBit, which is both free and Open Source, but you’re never guaranteed consistency when compared to a standard off the shelf product like iolo!

All features in the software are useful. It is able to optimize PC performance, remove malware, securely erase files and recover deleted files.

I purchased this in store .and when i went to activate it i needed help downloading this item online so i called online number and the person i talked to told me i could have purchased this for considerable saving if i would has purchased it online. Now i keep getting a pop up on my screen for computer help. I also keep getting a statement to upgrade to a new version i would think that this would have been covered when i purchased this in store. I probably will use this untill it expires and then never purchase your products again. sign me a disapointed customer.

Ultimate Defense seems to be a collection of "tools" looking for a purpose. My computer did not seem to appreciate the performance enhancing features Ultimate Defense is supposed to offer. I finally removed it and opted to use Windows System Defense and Malwarebytes Free.

I needed a replacement keyboard. I had spotted it online before going into the store. I noticed Staples had it but at a higher price. I showed them the site and they did a Price Match.
