The Roomba's one weak spot is it gets really confused when bringing it on different levels of the house. An additional base solved this -- plus I don't need to bring it back downstairs to charge!

Get it! Don't questionit. Just do it. It is expensive but you already have the roomba and you wanted to make life easier. This is the next step. Now, I program my roomba and forget about it for days. I don't have to clean it daily. Now it cleans all week without me lifting a finget. How great it THAT? It's wonderful!!!

Had to buy a second base so that our i9 could clean both floors with ease. The price is a bit steep TBH but now we can bring the robot up and down without much thought. i9 = 10/10 Base = 9/10

PERFECT! I can’t believe how much time this has saved me from having to empty my roomba! One bag has lasted months and I have two shedding dogs! I love my roomba and the new clean base! I’m glad I waited a year to buy it because now I can see first hand just how much easier it makes the whole Roomba experience! Thank you iRobot!

Love the smart map technology. I noticed this vacuum does a better job of cleaning rugs.

We had an S Series Roomba without this for about six months. While it worked well, one of the negatives is that if the Roomba "thinks" its bin is full it stops doing tasks. We have dogs and even if there is a tiny bit of hair in the bin, it thinks it's full. Worry no more about this with the Dirt Disposal! Right in the middle of a cleaning the Roomba will return to this base, dump its dirt and go right back to where it left off. Because it is constantly removing debris from its bin it also lessens the amount of maintenance needed for the brushes and wheels. A little warning the first time it empties the Roomba. You will think a jet plane is landing in your house. It is loud!!! But it's quick and done. Emptying the bin when its full is easy. The disposable bags actually self contain so you never have to touch the nasty dirt. Very nice! I do feel like Roomba has almost forced this to be a necessity for their S Series through design. It's expensive! But all in all, this thing is worth every penny! I would highly recommend it if you've already spent a pretty penny on a higher end Roomba.

This is a great system to use with the Roomba S. It's extremely convenient to have this automatically empty the roomba when it's full or after each run. Only thing to keep in mind is that it's decently loud when it's emptying, but that is only for a few seconds.

bought vacuum without the cleanbase, thinking I can empty the bin when it's full. couldn't let it run while i was away like i planned. It would pause the cleaning cycle becuase i had to physically be there to empty the bin. now that i have the cleanbase, it'll complete the cleaning cycle while I am at work.

If you have a Roomba but not the self cleaning dock then you have to empy your Roomba often. If you have to run errands and the Roomba is full it just sits there until you get home and empty it. With this it empties it's self and continues vacuumin. I love it!!!

This nifty contraption saves you from having to "Empty the Bin" every time I run my Roomba s9. The bin on the s9 actually fills up extremely quickly, so it's nice to be able to set-it-and-forget-it. The robot does its thing and goes back to empty itself when it needs to before finishing its job. The unit seems to have good build quality. My only complaint with this and the other Roomba bases is that the A/C plug that attaches the power cord to the back of the unit is really poorly designed and disconnects extremely easily. You really have to wiggle it to get it in place and then hold it there while you pray to your higher power that the darn thing won't disconnect from the back of the unit when you set the unit down on the floor, plug the unit in, push it up against the wall, or when something vibrates or walks by it. Really annoying. Good news is that it's now been plugged in for a few weeks and hasn't come unplugged again... yet.

I've had one without the dirt disposal base where you had to empty out every other day or so, the vacuum makes it so much easier and will take about a month before you have to change the bag.

If you get the S9 Roomba go ahead and get it with this. If you buy it separately like I did it’s $50 more but the bundle was out of stock so I paid $50 more to go ahead and buy it separately.

This a must have for your Roomba s9. The automatic emptying of the Roomba bin is worth every penny although you would be a lot of pennies. This is expensive for a accessory to a vaccum.

We named ours Wilson and he’s a godsend. We have a high volume high traffic home and it’s so amazing to have him scheduled to clean before I walk in the door after a long day at work, to see clean floors. We did a test and used Wilson on our carpet then used our old vacuum to see what Wilson missed and there was next to nothing in the dust bin of our old vacuum! Yes it’s expensive and so are the parts to constantly order but I’m happy to spend the money on such a wonderful and HELPFUL product.

Works very well and love how it makes it more simple.

I'm so disappointed with this one. It may just be mine, but we have had trouble since day one with it not cleaning as well as my old Roomba. My husband has to do some type of work to it almost every time it runs. I LOVE the self emptying part, but I don't even remember the last time I used it. I wish I had my old one again... It's an expensive piece of plastic sitting in my floor.

Adding a second docking station upstairs was useful. Did seem to take a while for the robot to recognize new docking station but overall not bad. The auto empty works well.

I bought this for the second floor of my home so I wouldn't have to purchase a second iRobot.

Best thing ever, it’s a plu and play kind of upgrade. Thank you Best Buy for the military discount, was able to get this for 129$
