The j5create video capture device gets my highest rating because it simply worked, right out of the box. I connected my camera to the j5create device, and the device to my Mac, and immediately found a new video input (J5-USB Device) in Zoom. Done.

The j5create is a decent and functional HDMI capture unit. It will do the job and do it well. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is that for the same money you can get the Elgato HD60 S+ which is, in my opinion, a better unit.

Works with windows laptop and Open Broadcaster Software streaming to Facebook. Good for streaming church service because of separate audio input easily taken from sound board.

I've now purchased at least 5 of these. When they work, they do exactly what they are supposed to do and with very low latency introduced into the mix. However -- and this is BIG -- I've had problems with 4 out 5 of them. The video feed will completely drop off and the only way to do it is completely shutdown all software accessing the device, unplug it from the USB port and then reconnect it. The problem is, as soon as it gets warmed up, it quits again. I've since moved on to a different and cheaper brand/model that works MUCH better.

I connected my video camera to live stream through the computer, no games involved... worked great!

Nothing really fancy included but it can handle some weird situations. I use it both with OBS and Discord with no real issues.

Plug and play. Easy right out of the box. Turned my GoPro and dslr into a webcam.

Hi Steve!
That's awesome! I know how important it can be right now to be able to get up and running, so I'm glad that this suited your needs.
Thanks,

Never worked how it said it would on my macbook pro and my camera. This shouldn't be diffcult when following the basic directions.
