We needed fans and phone chargers for our booth at RuCo Pride Festival in Murfreesboro, TN. The temperature was in the high 90's with high humidity. The batteries allowed us to run three fans and charge our phones from 11AM-7PM. We had purchased two in two days due to the heat predictions. We used one up completely, and the second one was down to 32% by the end of the event. It kept me from getting heat stroke. We know now that we need a much bigger battery. The chargers are hard to see in the photos, but you can see all three fans being charged.

Jackery - Explorer 300 Plus Portable Power Solar Generator – Black The Jackery Explorer 300 Plus is very useful for portable power while camping or just during a power outage. The display shows all information about charging and discharging. The time remaining display is a bit confusing and mostly shows remaining time as 99.9 hours with a saver time of 12 hours. This has been observed while testing the unit with various loads. When pushed a little the remaining time will drop but is still way above what it will be capable of. This is most likely being caused by short term use during testing and would probably settle down to a realistic number. It has a 12V DC cigarette lighter output jack that can be used to power a device or charge a car battery. It has 2 USB-C ports, 1 is a normal charging output port the other can be used for charging the unit with a solar panel or charging another USB-C device. Jackery states to use only a Jackery 12V charger in the USB-C port, but Jackery does not seem to sell one. The unit coms with an adapter that allows the use of solar charging. They have removed the standard 12V charging port in support of USB-C. The adapter seems well made but it will be sticking out the front of the unit and will end up damaging the adapter or the USB-C port when something hits it. The 120V charging cord is very heavy duty, 14 awg wire in a heavy orange jacket. This cord is way overkill for the power requirements of the unit. I’m guessing they made this power cord this way be able to take some abuse, wish they would have left the 12V DC charging port for the same reason. It has a flashlight that also doubles as an S.O.S signal, a note of the S.O.S flash, it is too fast the 3 flashes at the beginning are extremely fast and are more like a strobe. It will get attention but is not a normal S.O.S. All outputs are switched so you only need to turn on what ports you intend to use. All outputs are stable and clean power for whatever use you require. I powered a 150-watt fan from the 120V output and it showed clean 60 Hz sign wave at 120V. The unit is not overly heavy because of the battery type used. The App is usable and allows you to monitor time and power levels. It can also turn ports on and off. The unit wants Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection. Bluetooth will kick in if the Wi-Fi signal gets lost. The App requires you to register with a username and password. My only real issue is the removal of the 12V DC charging port. Using a fragile USB-C plug with a big 12V receptacle seems like they are just looking for failure. From the supplied information it seems like it would run a CPAP machine all night as long as you didn’t use heated humidity.

Product packaging is very misleading. It has the title of solar generator and is only a battery storage device. While everyone wants power storage, the labeling of the product should match what it is. It is designed to get you to then buy additional solar panels at the tune of 300+. Make sure you know what you are getting with this!

Hi,
We’re sorry for any confusion caused. On the product detail page at the time of purchase, the item is listed as a power station, which indicates it includes the E300 Plus unit only and does not include solar panels.

I'll make a confession. When I first ordered this Jackery - Explorer 300 Plus Portable Power Solar Generator, I really thought that it came with solar panels. Maybe I was misled by the picture of the unit with the solar panels in plain view. I was very excited about the thought of having a battery back-up with renewable energy for a source. When the unit arrived, it was to my chagrin that, alas, there was no solar panel with it. My bad for not reading the full description of the item, before choosing it. However, upon studying the features of the Explorer 300 Plus, I was glad that I chose it. I found that this relatively light-weight generator that is about the size of a small drink cooler could definitely be useful without the solar panel charging option. The unit comes with a high-end AC charging cable and was fully charged within about 2 hours. (It can also be charged off of a 12V car adapter, but it takes about 5.5 hours to charge using it; and if you purchase the Jackery SolarSaga 100 Solar Panel, it takes about 9.5 hours to fully charge the unit from 0.) Once fully charged, I first used the Explorer 300 Plus to charge up my Garmin DashCam with the 12V Car Adapter port, so that I could do a program update. Then, I had to do some computer work on my laptop in my car, which I did by plugging into the 120V, 60Hz, 300W (600W Peak) pure sine-wave AC port. I used the laptop for a couple of hours and had my phone charging while plugged into the USB-C port. Everything ran great! Then when I arrived home, I left the laptop plugged into the Explorer 300 Plus overnight. In the morning, the battery on the Explorer was at 0%, but my laptop battery was full. I was delighted! Since I work from home often and am required by work to restart my laptop at the end of the day and keep it on all night for updates, I can foresee times when we lose power and the Explorer keeps my work computer and work phone up and running. Likewise, on long car trips, where my husband is driving and I am working on a laptop for hours. This little portable generator is just the ticket! I did run out and buy the solar panel that works with the Jackery - Explorer 300 Plus Portable Power Solar Generator. I have yet to use it, but I think it will come in handy. I am happy with the Explorer 300 Plus the way it came and would highly recommend it to a friend or family member.

Jackery may be a newish player in the battery backup field, but they've definitely shown they know how to make a reliable product. The Explorer 300 Plus is no exception. This unit will put out 2.5A 300W of incredibly stable power in a fairly small form factory. While this unit likely won't power your fridge if the electricity goes out, it will allow you to go camping with some comforts from home. Phones and laptops are no issues to charge with this as is your basic CPAP machine. I would not recommend it for any power equipment though as the surge draws would likely go above what this unit can handle. Now while you can charge this via DC, AC, and solar, I find their AC charging option the most annoying. Jackery went with a C13/C14 connector. While this may be a nice feature if you're using it in a data center, most people are not going to have a spare cord laying around if the included one gets ruined/lost. Lastly, their app is good, but not great. I was surprised that this unit connected over Bluetooth and WiFi and the app does a good job of allowing you to turn outlets on and off remotely. To my knowledge though, there is no way to connect the app to home automation such as Google Home, Apple Home, or Home Assistant. It would have been nice to be able to see when power went out and the battery had to kick in and the app does not support that natively. All in all, this is a good unit from a reputable company. Just be aware of the connectors you'll be working with when choosing this model.

I’m really impressed with this ultra-portable generator! Ill start by saying the build quality is great and they put a lot of though and care in to the designed and materials for this device. Its very impressive. This is my first generator and I love the fact that I can add a solar panel to it for complete freedom from charging it via an electrical outlet. I would also like to say, THANK YOU Jackery for including a really nice extension cord charging plug for this unit. It is much appreciated. I’ve used this extensively over the past few days and I love how light and portable it is. I can literally take it anywhere with me. I’ve used it to charge my laptop while road tripping. I’ve used it to plug in a portable light where plug access was not available, and I’ve used it to charge my phone and my camera. It works great, its very quiet, and the battery life is very sufficient for my needs. I am going to purchase the solar panel to go with it, I feel its needed especially if you end up in a no power situation and need to charge it to keep powering essentials. The app is great too. Pairing with my phone was easy and I love that I can open the app and check on the battery percentage and turn what I have plugged in to it, on and off. Its very convenient and a very nice addition to an already superb product. If you are looking for a very portable generator, this is definitely a prime choice!

This device is FANTASTIC for providing mobile power. It is VERY CONVENIENT that it can be charged from a wall outlet, in addition to the ability of being charged with a Jackery solar panel. A MUST-HAVE during a power outage or natural disaster. I use it to power my laptop, my LED floor lamps, my stationary exercise bike, and many of my USB-powered devices. Here are the Pros about this device: 1. Jackery delivered on the aesthetics of this device. It has a cute cube-like shape. 2. It is not heavy to carry. If you can hand-carry a modern laptop computer, you can hand-carry this device around. It also has a handle to make transportation easy. 3. Its power storage capacity to its weight ratio is outstanding. I do have two cons about this device: 1. The power outlets do not have protective covers. This may or may not be an issue depending on where and how you use this device. 2. The user manual needs to be a little more refined with respect to instructions clarity. I would have given this product review 5 stars if this device had protective covers on each outlet.

Got this for camping trip. Charged it before going and it personally lasted me as a single camper a 3 day weekend. Was able to blow up my air mattress and keep my essentials charged with no issues. This included my hearing aids, phones and apple watch. I also got the solar power with it, and didn't need to use it this trip. I highly recommend getting both should you have a party of more than 2 people.

Compact, quick charge item. One and a half hours to full charge. Great for camping or power outages to charge phones, run mini fridge, and griddle at the same time. Lasted for 13 hours before i had to hookup the solar panel. Just beyond expectations!

Wanted a smaller portable backup power unit. Mainly to powerup main router and wifi on case of an outage and not wanying tongook up the generator. Being able to add a solar panel was also necessary. App is simple and does what I need. Gives enough information. Easily handled what i needed to on my test runs. Only change would be to have more spots to plug in.

This thing is awesome. My son got an upgraded gaming laptop that sucks soo much juce, that even in low energy mode it is a beast. This handles that load perfectly for us to get him to his appointments that are farther away. And with an autistic son that is super crucial!

Great portability, not the most compatible with portable solar panels. Charges through USB-C for solar panels(has separate plug in cable for outlet charging) this limits compatibility and requires an adapter to use portable solar panels(even Jackery's) most solar panels have a 7909 connector which requires a 7909 to 8020 adapter then a second adapter for 8020 to USB-C if you wanna use a solar panel with it.

This battery has worked really well for working out of my car and having a way to charge my laptop. Works great for camping and cookouts. Having a backup battery that is portable and holds a lot of charge has been really handy.
