Bought this on discount and even if it was full price it would be worth it for me. Its user friendly and fills up my room with big sound. If your putting it in your living room you might want to go a lil bigger but thats just me i like big bass and sound. I was skeptical on the lil 6" woofer but it actually digs deep and has great rumble. I watched deepwater horizon and pearl harbor both sounded awesome. I used the hdmi setup so i can use one controller and works great. Also Bluetooth works just fine no issues. At first it wasnt loud like i knew it was slowed to be kuz i listened to it in the store first and after adjusting a few things on the sound settings from the tv it worked like normal and the soundbar n woofer got way louder how its supposed to be. Dont freakout if its not working like u want just make sure you read the instructions and all your sounds are on the proper setting. Mine (insignia f30) was on surround sound mode when i turned it off then the sound sr cane to life. Now i need one for my living room i might go with a nakimichi unit they're also on sale. But overall this jbl setup did not disappoint 5 stars.

I bought the JBL Bar 2.1 Deep Bass (MK2) thinking I might return it after comparing it against a few 3.1 soundbars. I was unsure if it would provide the vocal clarity I wanted for movie watching, but after thorough testing and comparison, I decided to keep it. The main reason is the subwoofer! it delivers a level of bass you simply don’t find in other soundbars of this size or class. It easily fills my 500 sq ft living room and sounds tight and punchy. Setup was simple and smooth. HDMI ARC worked immediately, and Bluetooth has been stable with no dropouts. To ensure the TV and soundbar power on together without issue, I enabled HDMI Control, Auto Power On, and Auto Standby in the TV’s CEC settings. I also set the TV’s audio output to ARC with PCM format. On the soundbar, I disabled Smart Mode, which made both music and movies noticeably louder and more direct. I manually adjusted the bass depending on the content. High bass for music, medium/low for Youtube/Movies. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the price-to-performance ratio. At its full price, it starts to compete with soundbars that offer more advanced features, like 3.1 channel setups with dedicated center speakers for clearer dialogue, or systems with Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual X for more immersive audio. While those might not match the raw bass power of the JBL, they offer a more balanced feature set overall. That said, if you prioritize strong, room-shaking bass and a clean stereo sound without needing all the virtual surround extras, this soundbar still holds its own. I don’t regret the purchase. It’s been reliable, easy to use, and delivers where it counts. Just be aware of what else is out there in the same price category before you commit.

I think it sounds amazing. I bought one for my living room, bedroom and a friend’s cabin. The sub is powerful and has three levels.

This JBL package is very nice and top quality. The Sub is awesome with no distortion or resonance at high volume. It’s small in size but really packs a punch. The Sound bar is of high quality as well with no high volume distortions!! I’m going to purchase a second package the same as this one for another room in my home. JBL is high quality and have been at it for years, you will no regret this purchase and the price is fantastic for such a great sounding package.

I wanted something that sounded better than my tv speakers. I took out my surround system years ago because the kids grew up and no one was really using the system anymore. I was expecting this to be “nothing special” because it’s just a soundbar and a little sub, plus the price is pretty low so I figured I would hook it up and be mainly underwhelmed but hopeful it was at least better than the tv speakers. Well, things have come a long way. It sounds really good and even the bass was surprisingly decent. Does it sound like my old surround system? No. Is it better than I expected? Absolutely….anytime you can at least be happy with what you bought is huge for me. It actually made me wonder how much better can the more expensive ones really be? This one does a very good job for the price point. No complaints!!!

Our JBL Sound Bar sounds awesome!! It really makes the room come alive on movie night! We have an 1,000 sqft room and the JBL sounds better than other sound bars we’ve owned. Will purchase again!

I was looking for something that wouldn’t take up space and offered actual theater style sound. Honestly. Blown away at the sound quality. This soundbar offers theater performance sound at a great price!
i was looking for that movie theater sound quality, and I’ve found it in this item. Very good deep bass and the highs are crisp!

A hidden button function to make it sound better is to hold down the mute button until the display says toggle, then use the volume to turn off.

Easy setup my TV automatically recognized the speaker without issue. Sounds good out of the box not much control over the sound and no user EQ other then low, medium and high bass setting. Would be nice to be able to shut off the display on the front every time you change channels it scrolls the setting it gets annoying

Let's just start off by saying this the perfect size for a small gaming set up or man cave/She-shed room. The speaker bar fits perfectly under a 65"TV. The included hardware that was included has screws and mounts to attach to the wall, but had already pre-ordered another mount that i used instead. The packaging comes with all the needed cables for power and an HDMI cable that you can connect in to the TV's HDMI/Arc Connector. The sound bar also has an optical connector that I chose to go with instead. The audio remote is super simple to use. All available inputs are listed on their own respective button. The speakers paired up to the Bluetooth on the phone quickly, and I was able to adjust between music and a podcast with the preset buttons on the remote. Even at low volume, the audio and voices were crystal clear. The subwoofer at first impressions was small, but my opinion was quickly corrected after setting the option to music and enjoying the room - filling sound. Overall, this set up is a hit in my home!

I run this soundbar in my gym for the projector. It sounds great and has a lot of bass for the size of the setup. Great sound quality and gets loud for what it is.
