A: Yes would recommend you get the xtreme 2 it’s a newer model it’s slightly bigger and is a lot better and the speakers have been updated.
A: You clearly know nothing about audio, to those who want a real review: It is true the Xtreme 1 is louder by a few decibels on battery and by 1.5 on AC mode BUT it is way more distorted at higher volumes and it boosts bass way too much around 70 hz, it just sounds like a boomy distorted mess indoors. The Xtreme 2 goes about 20 hz lower and it is very clear and doesnt distort very much at high volumes. Its tuning is pretty flat compares to most JBL speakers so it is much closer to the actual recording. It is a really good indoor party speaker. And you dont have to worry about your battery dying after a few months of use like on the Xtreme 1 which many people had a problem with.
Q: Does this come with a charger and a strap to carry the speaker?
A: Yes the charger is only 120,( wall charger).
Q: Can this speaker be hooked to an I-pod, or is it only Bluetooth.
A: There is a 3.5mm jack on the back of the unit, where you can plug in devices that do not support bluetooth
A: Thanks for reaching out. Yes, the JBL Xtreme 2 has a Connect + feature where in you can connect multiple speakers at the same time and play the same music with a single Bluetooth device. Q: Which is better... The JBL Xtreme or the JBL Xtreme 2
A: Thank you for your enquiry. The Xtreme 2 has JBL Connect PLUS Technology, an IPX7 rating (waterproof), and is slightly bigger and heavier - while the Xtreme has JBL Connect, IPX 5 rating (splashproof), but is slightly lighter. Both have the same output (2x20W), but the Xtreme 2 has a bigger frequency response. A: It is stereo. It is also directional. The red JBL emblem is the front. The sides are the bass.
A: If we're talking about the JBL Connect app.,? Plug in the JBL Xtreme 2 and start the app. If an upgrade is available there will be a RED dot at the bottom of the screen where the gear is. If you tap the gear and go to the next screen, it will tell you what version you're running now and what version is available. Tap the (and I'm paraphrasing) "I have followed the Instructions" button and the app will start to download and install the new version. The process takes about five minutes.
