I recently picked up the JBL Charge 5 Portable Bluetooth Speaker and it has completely exceeded my expectations. I’ve been using the Xtreme 3 for over a year and was excited to upgrade to the Xtreme 5, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The sound leans toward brighter highs, with mids that feel average and bass that’s more emphasized but not necessarily better balanced. It’s also noticeably heavier, which makes it less portable. The removal of the 3.5mm jack is another downside for me, and considering it costs nearly twice as much as my Xtreme 3, I don’t feel the upgrade is worth it.

Very powerful speaker with deep bass and great sound quality. Gets really loud and still sounds clean. Battery life is good too. Really happy with this purchase.

While it is a little big, the battery life is really good I used it at the beach 3 days in a row and didn’t have to charge it and the bass get WAY lower than the xtreme 4

It was an excellent speaker but turns out it was way too big for me so I had to return it. It was a good speaker, but like I said too big.
