Bought this to listen to a secret recording of my grandparents (long ago since passed) while at a party. It was so nice to hear their voices again and to hear them laugh. This recorder is lightweight (plastic), and unexpectedly provides good, clear audio (even on old cassette tapes).

Really good quality cassette recorder. Originally I was looking for radio shack cassette recorder, unfortunately they're going out of business. A fellow that worked at RadioShack suggested that I get the Jenson ,and to get it at Best Buy. I had searched on Amazon for good reliable tape recorders earlier. I was shocked! They were very expensive. Many over $100. And without any warranty. And with poor reviews. So, I felt lucky to be able to chat with that former RadioShack employee. And I called a Best Buy. I ordered the cassette recorder online. The customer service rep was very helpful. He answered all my questions. And did so with a pleasant demeanor. The cassette recorder we ship by mail. It arrived promptly. It was well packaged. I've been using it continually since. I also purchased the two year warranty. I like the idea that the geek squad, would come by and fix or replace it if it malfunctioned. Two years is a long Time. And honestly, I use it a lot. So far I'm very satisfied. It comes with Mike. Which I use.

I purchased this cassette player to listen to interviews of my elderly relatives experiences during WWII. The player was a great price, had good quality sound for listening to voices, and was easy to use.

The item cassette recorder I bought is ok very handy I can take it anywhere I wish they have smaller than this one and I can get it

This cassette player/recorder came with a built-in microphone, a wired microphone, and AC adapter. I tried other cassette players/recorders but they needed separate purchase wired microphones and AC adapters. excellent quality in a cassette player/recorder. Delivered recordings with nice fidelity and minimum noise.

My old tape deck from the 80's finally stopped working. I tried to replace it once with another recorder but it turned out to be junk. Now that it died, I decided to try this based on the reviews. For my needs, which are simple, it works fine. I do agree to use the external mic for recording. It's much clearer. Can't go wrong with the model.

Nice to have a cassette player. 3.5mm line out works great to plug into computer with usb adapter, sold seperately, and i can record cassettes onto my computer as MP3’s (using garage band for mac, apple computer)

Antiquated as this technology may be, I understand how it works and was glad to find this type of recorder on line at Best Buy. It also arrived promptly! My one difficult experience was that, having forgotten to also purchase the cassette tapes on line, my efforts to find them via phone at several brick-and-mortar BBs verged on the amusing--in one case, having to spell "cassette" because the word is unfamiliar to a member of a younger generation.

I purchased this item for my Mother! She had some cassettes with my Grandfathers voice on them and she wanted to hear that again. However I purchased this one because of the microphone. Figured it be a win win Mom gets to hear Grandfather voice and I might get a few recordings myself. Now shes got a platform to make a cassette for me. So far so good

Volume is not loud enough. Sound quality could be better also. It is a little lighter than my previous Jensen. Needs to add information about repairs and how to achieve improvable qualities if they can be improved.

It's easy to use. The sound quality is not as good as my old cassette player.

This unit is little changed in function from my old Motorola model that weighed several times as much. It died from old age and I found this one available. Every thing is provided to play or record on diskettes. Even a mic is there. Works perfectly and sounds good. Runs on internal AA cells or the included AC adapter. Played some of my 30 year old cassettes with no problems. If one needs to do so, this is a good choice. Build quality is also good.

I needed to replace my hand-held cassette recorders. Nobody makes them any more. I purchased 2 Jensen desktop recorders. This was the best I could do. The recorders work, but they don't fit into my coat pocket. the Best Buy price was more than on Amazon. I asked for a refund of the difference. At first, Best Buy was only willing to refund the difference on one product. I convinced them to refund the difference on both products (I bought 2 recorders). I couldn't reach Best Buy by telephone. I had to use the chat service on the website.

I have a handicapped son who uses it constantly, pushing the buttons forwarding and rewinding the cassette tapes and it runs flawlessly. Very well made.

I wanted to tape some of my old favorites from vinyl records. This recorder/player was just what I needed Easy to operate and the sound is superb. Great choice!!!

One of the best purchases I've ever made. The tape recorder works well for my needs. I'm a pianist and like to record my practice sessions in order to hear myself and to catch mistakes, such as musicality and errors to the music before I perform. This tape recorder catches everything! I highly recommend it.

I haven't used it yet, however it seems to work ok.
