About this product
The nicest thing anyone has ever said to Jo Hirabayashi, frontman of Jo Passed, is that his band's debut album sounds like Inchfucked-up Beatles.Inch Titled Their Prime, the LP does sound like fucked-up Beatles. It sounds like, somewhere across an '80s universe, Lennon and McCartney discovered Can and Neu!, and maybe a little Sonic Youth and XTC along the way. Opening with InchLeft,Inch it demonstrates that timeless knack for dreamy melodies - chord progressions that sound like they were created in a land far far away. Lyrically, however, it's imbued with a philosophical longing for answers to questions that have resurfaced for the first time since the explosion of counterculture in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Album Tracks 1. Left 2. MDM 3. Glass 4. Undemo 5. Facetook 6. Repair 7. R. Ip 8. Millennial Trash Blues 9. You, Prime 10. Sold 11. Another Nowhere 12. Places Please

33-year-old Joe Pass was discovered by Pacific Jazz producer Dick Bock playing in the house band of the Synanon drug rehabilitation house. Soon after, he was at the tag recording with a variety of leading artists including Bud Shank and the Jazz Crusader. This compilation (covering his first 2 years at the tag) contains material with his own quartet, Gerald Wilson's Orchestra, Richard InchGrooveInch Holmes, Les McCann and the Sounds of Synanon. Most of this swinging, thoughtful work is on CD for the first time. Album Tracks 1. C.E.D 2. Aaron's Song 3. Projections 4. Django 5. Night and Day 6. Flueur D'ennui 7. Insensiblement 8. Teri 9.
