I have owned a JOBY Gorilla Pod (magnetic) for several years and gotten much use out of it with my Canon S90. It was a practical purchase and worth every penny I spent for it. But over the years the photographic prowess of mobile phones has improved exponentially, so I hoped I could find an adapter that would allow me to extend the life of my Gorilla Pod as I migrated away from my point-and-shoot. Lo and behold I stumbled upon the JOBY - GripTight ONE Mount for Mobile Phones while killing some time at Best Buy! This mount is exactly what I wanted and was a no-brainer purchase. It easily holds my iPhone XS Max securely with its spring-loaded grips even with its Apple silicone case in place. And the adapter folds down to take up minimal space when not in use.

I already had the Roby small tripod so this was the next step took some great pictures of the two of us on our last trip with my IPhone clamped in. One the tripod gripping the top of a post to take a vertical picture.

I’ve tried a lot of tripod phone holders, and I’m sad to say this one isn’t my favorite. The positives; it’s sleek, folds up easily to avoid breaking, and expands to hold phone. Cons: when I set it to the portrait mode, it rolls over from the weight of the phone! It’s extremely frustrating as it shouldn’t do this. (See the 2 pics as the phone has rolled to that spot). It’s also pricy for this. I feel its not worth the price. Other than that, I like the slim & collapsible feature of this holder. Perhaps u have a better experience. Still worth a try. Hope it works better for you.

Using this with a Note 8 and a slim case, it just barely fits. It does hold the phone securely though. Folds flat to take up minimal space in my pack or camera bag.

Small and compact mobile adapter for a standard tripod. Easy to set up and very compact to carry. Lightweight too. I have a galaxy S20 that fits with the cover on. Except for the huge phones, I think there shouldn’t be a problem fitting any phones. Great addition to my travel kit.

I have several full-size tripods that I use with cameras. This phone holder works with all of the tripods. it’s a great find.It’s easy to use in a portrait or landscape orientation. It is surprisingly small enough to fit in your pocket yet very secure when attached to the phone. Very easy to use.

Attaches perfectly to my standard tripod, My iPhone 7 is held securely. I would wish fior an extension arm so I could shoot straight down and not have the tripod legs in the picture.

The piece is vital if you want to put a phone on a tripod. The piece works well and folds up for easy storage in a bag or a pocket. It hold many types of phones, even the plus size iPhones. The piece, if swung, can open and throw your phone. But as long as you use it well, it works great. The biggest problem is the price. I think it's way too overpriced. It's even overpriced when it includes the tripod. Otherwise, it's a good product.

Spring loaded phone mount for your tripod. Secures phone nicely and easily screws into tripod mount. Works well with the android phone. Seems flimsy for its small size but is pretty sturdy and light weight. Would recommend for an easy inexpensive mount if you already have a tripod.

Although it holds your devices and has rubber inside the grip, it doesn't hold your device securely during movement. It does allow for keeping your device in a case when mounted with this grip. Best to use this stationary on a tripod.

Durable and easy to use. Love the small compact size. You don’t have to worry about devices flying out. Works with iPhones and iPhones 8 and other devices like the Samsung.

Such a handy gadget. Getting a lot more use out of my pro tripod after purchasing this. Good design and a breeze to use.

This is a great little item that folds flat and is lightweight. It will even work with my Moto G5 Plus IN its Incipio brand protective case. That is NOT true of the Manfrotto brand smartphone tripod mount, which will not quite fit around that smartphone when it is in that case, although of course both mounts will work with the smartphone out of the case. Another thing I like about this Joby product is that it has a very small little hole that can be used to thread a camera strap through it. The small hole may or may not be visible from the pictures provided. The Manfrotto product (competing smartphone tripod mount) does not have such a hole, although it does have its own unique advantages. Being creative, I have thought up a number of original uses for this. For example, using a 1/4 20 short threaded rod that I got from a hardware/home improvement store, I can attach my smartphone to a Sony action camera. Next, using the Sony Wi-Fi and Sony application from the Google Play Store, I can give this action camera a live view while I am using it. In other words, I can see what the camera is recording while also controlling it with my smartphone, and everything will be attached together. By using this with my Manfrotto brand smartphone tripod mount, I can hook two smartphones together, and that is a fun thing, because I can make video comparisons that way. I can also attach a smartphone to a digital camera and control it with the smartphone. Further, I could use the cameras for different purposes. For example, my smartphone could record 4K video, while I use my camera to take photos. Since the two will be attached together with the 1/4 20 short rod I mentioned, we are going to get photos and video of the same things at the same time, from the same point of view. Seriously, this is a high-quality product that is hard to catch on sale. However, I used a price-match guarantee to get it for a dollar or so less, which wasn't much of a savings, really.

I bought this to begin using my phone for more video production, and it does great for putting a phone on a tripod. The real value has been while i'm coaching (wrestling) I can put the phone down in front of my chair using this clip to keep it standing up and record the match from my perspective. Has been great for showing the athletes what I saw and how to correct it. Fits nicely in my pocket when i'm not using it during the tournament.

This product attaches to a cell phone and a tripod with the screw mounting. I have an old tripod and there was no way to attach a cell phone to the tripod without a device such as this. It attaches to the cell phone with a spring loaded bracket and the screw from the tripod screws into the mount. It is a great way to take pictures with your cell phone.

Extremely versatile, worth every penny. Holds phone up without being flimsy!

Purchased this gadget to go with my Jolby guerilla grip. Worked perfectly. Was able to hold my Iphone 7 no problem. Small and lightweight, it was easy to pack and carry.

Works well with my Motorola G Stylus 2021. Grips the cellphone safely.

I hate making videos of myself, but as a teacher in quarantine, it was necessary. This easily allowed me to attach my phone to an old tripod that I inherited and easily set up to make a variety of videos. It was a bit on the expensive side for what it is, and I hope it lasts a long time, as you are constantly stretching the spring-loaded plastic to insert the phone, but it works well!
