First, I LOVE this album. It is one of my favorites, and I was psyched to get it in remastered vinyl. After a few minutes of the first song, I thought something was wrong with my stereo system. I listened to the second track… it sounded wrong, too. I put on the CD, and it sounded fine. My wife called it. She said it sounded like the sound engineer pushed the vocals (Mellencamp and the back-up singers) to the front and pushed all the instruments to the back. It sounded muddy and completely unsatisfying. I went online and found the original 1985 vinyl for sale, used. It sounds amazing. I do NOT recommend this remastered version. This is a great album that they ruined in this remastered version.
