So I only had this on VHS. Its nice to see it on DVD> Only thing is the sound was not that much different than VHS> Only wish it was on blu-ray was the downfall.

Director Spike Lee focuses upon the subject of interracial relationships in 'Jungle Fever". I Thought that this was a well done film, with all the performances being first-rate! Wesley Snipes and Annabella Sciorra were excellent as Flipper Purify and Angela Tucci. And the supporting performances by Spike Lee, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee, Samuel L. Jackson, John Turturro, Lonette McKee, Frank Vincent, and the late, great Anthony Quinn, elevated this film!

This movie by Spike Lee was one of his most controversial because of the subject movie but it was well made as Spike Lee doesn't pull any punches in producing an all time classic!

The plus: More classic Spike Lee joints on blu-ray will always be a great thing for cinephiles. The minus: Kino hasn’t really taken the opportunity to give Lee’s best a robust treatment with a new transfer or new supplements. And on that note, it’s interesting to see Kino become the Netflix of boutique physical media labels as they release more and more (very welcome, don’t get me wrong) content. As for Jungle Fever, it probably fares the least out of the five-film batch released by Kino early this year (including his terrific Clockers and Crooklyn, the fairly underrated Summer of Sam, the EXTREMELY overlooked Mo’ Better Blues). It’s as bare-bones as the original DVD, and the transfer is merely good. That is to say nothing of the film itself, which hasn’t aged terribly well despite terrific performances from everyone involved that truly elevate the film and the killer Stevie Wonder soundtrack. (and am I the only one that thinks the ending is one of the more interesting things about it?) A worthy release if you are looking to add more Lee to your collection, but certainly not Criterion-levels of stunning.

Excellent movie which was hard to find but I'm glad Best Buy had it. Ordering and shipping was easy as always. You don't want to miss out on this one.
