Two very enthusiastic thumbs up
Best projector I’ve bought hands down. The amount of detail on the 4K image is sharp and clean. Ever since I purchased this unit, I’ve been watching movies daily. With certain movies the color pops. Let’s not forget the numerous settings to fine tune the image to your liking. I purchased the unit used( no remote, no lens cap, no feet and no manual ) for $2,317.99 which was a steal. And I have the unit projected on an average screen ( Projecta 94” 16:9 ). This projector receives my highest recommendation.

Excellent but expensive true 4K projector
I chose this over the Epson LS12000 because that is not native 4k and over the Sony VPL-XW5000ES because it does not have HDR10+. Although those two have a laser light source, I was afraid that once that dies, I'm left with an unusable projector. At least I can replace the bulb with the JVC. There is also the 3D option that the other two don't have. The picture quality in this JVC is awesome (vs my previous Epson 5030 1080p). The fan noise is not terrible with the brightest setting watching HDR. It is massive and heavy. 2 person job for ceiling mount. Needed a new Chief SLB281 plate but was able to use my old Chief RPA mount. Highly recommended, but pricey.

Great Picture Quality
Bought this to replace my Epson Home Cinema 4000 and love it. With its price point, you get more value out of this projector than with the Epson LS1100. Only downside is this one is not Laser. JVC offers their own software to calibrate the picture quality for free and all that's needed is the sensor purchased separately. After calibration, the picture quality is much improved. For 3D viewing, you will need the 3D transmitter. Luckily, I had an Xpand transmitter that does indeed work with this projector. The 3D picture quality is the best I've experienced with this projector. The 3D effect really pops out!

JVC DLA NP5
JVC DLANP5 is an amazing 4k projector. Great picture quality and great contrast and black level. Worth every penny

Exceptional Quality
I knew JVC would deliver a high quality product, but wow! The tone mapping out of the box is why I decided to purchase this projector over epson and sony. The picture quality is amazing and ease of use is just as great. The wife and kids can easily operate without having to read the manual. 5/5 stars
