The KEF Ci160MR has a 9dB dip around 2.5kHz. Same deficiency on 2 different pairs from different batches. Perhaps a poorly designed crossover. At least the dip is consistent over variety of listening angles and is not super high Q, so it can be equalized out. Nonetheless, I'd rather have a ceiling speaker with a weird but spatially consistent frequency response than one with a great on-axis response that varies too much off axis. I don't know of a better choice at $300. But go with KEF's higher-tier in-ceiling speakers instead if you can. The oval logo can be simply pulled off the grille for a cleaner look.

Great sound at a fair price. Easy to install and look great!

I’m a KEF fan upfront but the startling detail of these in ceiling speakers (f2 for kitchen and 2 for living room) powered by my Sonos Amp surprised me. Usually “in ceiling” speakers suffer from shooting down but these KEF’s really provide great stereo imaging and all around sound! Thanks James in the Magnolia department fir your great advice and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

Great for surround and atmos application. Only cons was that speaker wire connections are too small for 12 guage cables. Also for price connectors could have been better quality.

I recently upgraded my receiver and added four of these to my setup to increase it to a 7.2.4 system. I am very pleased with the results. I was concerned about installing speakers with "only" a 6.5" woofer into my fairly high end system. I was also concerned about blending these with my Definitive Technologies Tower speakers. Finally I have a low ceiling height in my basement (~7.5'). But I can unequivocally tell you, these speakers do the trick. I really didn't need the added bass given my Def Techs and another stand alone 15" sub so it was good I went with these. Plus I wanted the diffusion provided by the KEF "Uni-Q" driver. It all ended up great. Installation was a snap too. I have acoustic ceiling tiles that are fairly rigid. However, I still added a backer board of 1/2'' plywood. I cut the tile with a utility knife and the plywood with a jig saw. The speakers were then "clamped" down easily onto the back of the plywood. Not sure I needed to do that, but it gives me peice of mind that the tile won't sag and also any vibrations are absorbed by the plywood and the ceiling tile frame. I am quite pleased with how these look and sound in my system and also the ease of installation (and magnetic grills). Recommended.

Very easy to install into existing ceilings. Only shallow depth is needed. Sound is great. I am adding a subwoofer but it is not a necessity. Magnetic grills are awesome.

For the money these can’t be beat. The uni-q driver and tangerine waveguide truly provide a wide dispersion of sound. They do not however provide a lot of bass. But for atmos speakers or speakers for ambiance, they are perfect.

The KEF Ci160MR delivers premium sound in a clean, discreet form factor. If you want ceiling speakers that combine wide coverage, excellent clarity, and true hi-fi performance, these are an easy recommendation. I also love how easy they were to install

These are the Q series speakers from KEF and they sound great. They’re a Best Buy specific product, therefore they’re not quite as powerful as the Ci160QR from the manufacturer, but they still sound good. I have 2 sets and used them as rear surround and ATMOS height speakers and the Uni-Q technology provides a wide sound array. I was a little concerned about using them as the rear surrounds, but they do an excellent job of dispersing the sound. I would recommend these speakers to anyone interested in a high quality speaker.

Wanted something out of the way and decent sounding. I picked these up and the 8” for my garage and patio. Super happy how they sound without disturbing the neighbors. They feel very premium and installation was done very easily.

Bought these on sale for atmos in my living room. They sound excellent and were a big improvement on the JBL’s that were originally there.

The Sonos work excellent and installed great But the workers from Best buy left smudge marks all over my freshly painted walls, which was shocking, I mean how dirty were the hands of these workers? Should have been cleaned up.

installed 6 of these to go with my Martin Logan front speaker set up. These things are great. Crisp, clear sound that fills the room nicely. I get people turning their heads with the effect they provide during movies.

Have not yet installed but you can't beat this sale price for ATMOS speakers that match your other KEF speakers.
