The LS50 speakers sounded great, but there was still something missing on the bass side. By adding the KC62 solved this problem. Working together, sound image really comes to life. Best of all, they compliment each other and can easily be configured through the KEF connect app. My only gripe is, for the money, it should come with necessary cables.

Very clean, musical, and accurate sounding sub. Bass is very controlled and articulated, something that many larger subs struggle with. It does an excellent job at disappearing from the room, and never sounds pushed. If you have a small to medium room you won't regret this little beast

Very powerful and clean sounding! Don’t let the small size fool you, this replaced a larger unit and the sound of fantastic.

KC62 sounds great , looks great. It's a perfect match for KEF's LSX, LS50W etc series of speakers and others too. Fast, deep and puchy bass. Neat, modern design. Lots of flexibility in tuning the subwoofer's EQ. If price is not an issue, KC62 is definitely the subwoofer to get for most hifi owners. Build KC62 is solidly built. The metal exterior is solid and the thing is heavy. You really get what you pay for. Aesthetics: The white color is sharp. It simply looks great. It has a modern and elegant look. It is also very small, so you place it right at the center of your HIFI setup if you want. Sound: The base is deep, clean and has very fast response. I pair it with LS50W. It adds so much depth to everything I listen to. The tricky part is to find the right crossover frequency. The beauty with paring with LS50W, LSX or any KEF active series is that the KEF app allows users to adjust both high pass and low pass filter on the fly making it much more convenient to tune the crossover point. It's still a time consuming process, but that's also part of the fun. Power: You can't beat physics, even with two woofers, they are only 6 inch and you can reach deep bass but not at high volume. Or if you want high volume, it cannot reach as low. But I feel the the power (pressure) is way more than sufficient for me. Unelss you use it in a huge home theater room, i feel that this is way more than enough. Personally, I dont listen at very high volume, but even that, when watch movies or shows, the subwoofer is already more than powerful for what I need. Setup: With the app, setting much is much easier, But within the app, (for non-KEF active speakers owners), there are still manual knobs at the back of the KC62 to adjust the cross over. There are also a built-in EQ switches on the back of KC62 to adjust if you are positioning the subwooder at a corner, near a wall or in an apartment. So , the setup process and the amount of freedom in adjustment is above average compared to other subwoofers. The front LED indicator is not bright enough and can only be seen at the right angle. Also, this circular LED is often mistaken as the power button. Turns out the actually power switch is at the back. You rarely need to turn it on or off because it auto turns on when there is audio signal. Value: At this list price, this is this very expensive. You can get a larger size SVS subwoofer at almost half the price. If you are looking for value, you won't find it here. That's why i am only giving it 4 stars. If you already own LS50w LS50WII, LSX , LSXII or LS60W, KC62 would match very nicely.

KEF has mastered the tiny box with unbelievable accuracy down to 25hz concept. I really never believed this was actually possible due to simple physics. But they finally proved it can be done. This dual driver sub is just incredible! I ran Audyssey EQ on our new bedroom 5.1 KEF system via a Denon AVR-A110 anniversary edition AV receiver and it set my tiny KEF sub to “Large”. I highly recommend this amazing subwoofer! It’s so easy to calibrate along with my 5 KEF speakers. I have the crossover set at 80Hz and for movies it sounds incredible! I also have Denon’s flagship AVR-A1H in a 9.2.4 Dolby Atmos system with Klipsch Reference speaker system and although it’s our main home theater, my new KEF system sounds just as good especially with my KEF R6,meta LCR center channel and four KEF 8” in ceiling speakers.

I’ve had a set of KEF LS50 speakers for several years and have loved their sound. The only thing lacking was truly low end oomph but the rest of their tone and power was so good, I didn’t mind. I finally decided to add the subwoofer and the KC-62 seemed a natural fit for my power requirements and for the fact that it would seem to be engineered to mate well with the LS50s. Such an amazing transformation! Getting great low frequency sound isn’t that difficult to achieve but what I didn’t expect was how much better the LS50s sound now that they aren’t burdened with trying to produce the low end. The group makes a terrific system. As for the KC-62 itself, setup was quick and painless (KEF has sorted out the sometimes fussy mykef app). The Bluetooth connector that was included for free worked instantly and flawlessly. Both the volume control and frequency crossover controls offer smooth response and easy access to the volume control on the back allows for quick changes if you’re shifting between styles of music or input sources. The fit and finish are impeccable and the sub looks more like a bit of furniture/sculpture than a massive bit of kit. The sound quality is clean and tight and easily tailored to your sonic preference for presence. Exceeded all my expectations!

Great subwoofer that was easy to set up paired with LS50 Wireless II speakers. The app is easy to use to make adjustments to the subwoofer's sound profile. Small form factor allowed me to place under a side table!

Beautifully built, sounds great! An excellent addition to the ls/lx series. BUT pricy! Like KEF products you are pay a premium for the premium build…

It is a pretty good pairing with my KEF LSX speakers. The bas can go deep and its pretty punchy but it can't fill a large room.

Worked fine for the first couple of years. Then it just wouldn’t detect a signal from my speakers. Tried everything that I could possibly do to fix the issue and nothing worked. Makes for good art against a rock at best but if you want a good subwoofer just go with a SVS subwoofer. They’re cheaper and overall better quality in my humble opinion. I will never waste money on another KEF product again. Don’t even get me started on the apps.

Packs an amazing punch for such a small size, this paired with the wireless transmitted allows for flexible placement and amazing bass performance paired with the LS50II Wireless or LS50 Meta speakers.

Tiny but powerful (within reason as air is still air)... I'm impressed by the speed and articulation of the bass out of this tiny thing and it compliments the Metas really well.

Stopped working altogether after a few months. Best Buy still has not replaced it or fixed it and it has been over 4 months since it has broken.
