Q: I need an amp that produces 100 watts x 2. With all the doubletalk in the specs, I can't figure out if this is the amp I need. (how do you figure an amp only capable of 45 watts x 4 is a 400 watt amp? Doesn't 45 x 4 equal 180???

A: I guess nobody at Best Buy, or Kenwood reads or cares about answering these questions. I asked this in December, and posed the exact same question to Kenwood USA customer support. Neither has responded. I am dumbfounded.

Q: Will this amp fit in the fairing of a HD Street Glide?

A: Yes.. it should. I have a 2016 Police Electra and it fit inside the fairing with no issues. It should fit on top of a metal bracket/shelf just above your radio or glovebox depending on what model you have. Hope that helps..

A: Yes, you can play music from a flash drive on this system.

Q: Will this unit provide 100 watts max to each speaker ? I purchased the alpine 45w max per channel. I thought it would be better then nothing. Max output on the Kenwood unit I installed is 45 per channel. How would this unit stand up compared to Alpine?

A: Depending on installation, it could easily outperform the alpine. I am an alpine fan, but the kenwood amp is rich with features and am sure you won't be disappointed. It powers 4 5-1/4' and two 6.5' with ease and little distortion. I use it on my harley and it easily keeps the volume above my loud pipes and wind noise.

Q: How would i be able to keep my stereo factory and use aftermarket amplifier and sub? 2016 ford fusion

A: Most factory radios will have preout to amplifiers. Just connect audio out into audio in on this amp for better amplification.

Q: Can the Kenwood kac-m1824bt amplifier be hooked up and used like a regular amplifier without using the Bluetooth remote? I got it second hand and it does not have the Bluetooth remote with it.

A: The amp is not water proof so as long as it is not exposed to water, moisture then it should be ok.

Q: I specifically asked the b.b. store tech for a marine amp and he said this one is. I just read a question asking if this can be used on a boat. your answer said this is not water proof and exposed to moisture could be a problem. ? explain please.
