A: They should fit just fine. I just installed four of these on my boat in August. If I recall, the instructions say the hole needs to be 5.5" but my holes were only 5". I bought these speakers as I liked the price and it had good reviews. I was ready to cut the holes to fit, but these speakers fit the 5" holes with no modification. They are snug, but they fit.
A: two way means it has a woofer and a tweeter. Three way would add a Mid range speaker.
Q: Will water ruin the speakers
A: They can get splashed and mine have been fine. Idk about submerged.

Speakers are of great quality and were easy to install. I put them in a custom mdf cutout in my golf cart. Sound is great and haven’t been concerned yet about water hurting them. Have them powered by the Kicker gauge style marine stereo and the sound gets loud, even over the gas engine!

Great speakers for the price I purchased these to put on the outside of my RV replacing some older ones and they sound much better Sound quality is good and clear They even seem to have a little bit more bass than my previous speakers Obviously if you want to a lot of bass then you need to hook up some subs and power to push it but that’s not what I was looking for on the outside of my RV They look nice installation was easy to attach to an existing hole And they look pretty sharp

Replaced a set of 15 year old marine speakers so the bar was not high, but there was a significant improvement in the lows and highs. The speakers fit perfectly in the existing holes. The cover doesn’t come off the speaker if it matters to your installation. I didn’t end up using the template Or the Clips as they didn’t fit on the fiberglass (too thick) but drilled one hole at the top, mounted the speaker and then drilled through the cover with a smaller than recommend drill bit and threaded the other screws directly in the fiberglass. With six screws it should hold fine (four in the fiberglass before). The other speaker went into a plastic insert. Mounted the same way and it worked fine too.
