This product is made for high-end car audio decks manufactured in 2013 for iPhone/iPod connection. Unfortunately this is a 30 pin connector for older gen Apple Products and is not compatible the 2013 “lighting” adapter Apple products: Analog vs Digital. Dev’s on both side of the isle did not look forward. Some aspects work while the video does not. There needs to be a defined Compatibility warning to unsuspecting customers. As shown in the image (fuzzy) “This accessory is not supported by this device”

I used this cable to connect an iPod to a Kenwood DNX6190HD. The cable works just fine and the radio controls the iPod without any issues. I just don't get why the cable costs $30, I realize there's a markup but jeez, $30 for an iPod cable is ridiculous.

I purchased this cable to connect my iphone 4s to my Kenwood DNX6180 head unti. the connections are simple and in my case it was easy to remove the unit make the connection and reinstall my radio. the whole process took me less than 20 minutes. This is a thick quality cable with a sturdy connection at the phone. It allows Pandora to display album titles and information on the DNX6180 screen and allows me to control Pandora from the DNX6180 screen. My only disappointment is that i was hoping this cable would allow me to feed video to the dnx6180 but it does not.

I like the convenience factor of being able to plug into my Kenwood DDX470 but isn't really needed because the bluetooth streams everything. Advertised to play your videos from your phone but I have not been able to make this feature work.

Not much to say about a cord. It either works or it doesn't. As far as the audio and iphone control, it picks it up and you can get the album artwork on the screen. Either I haven't figured it out or it doesn't work that way, but I cannot play videos through the cord. The audio goes through, but no picture. I have not tried it with and actual ipod.

I purchased a Kenwood 571 GPS unit and it does say Ipod ready, BUT you need this cable to see your Ipod folders and to control the Ipod from the deck. Otherwise, you can use the 3.5mm to connect your Ipod for sound, but you then control the Ipod from the Ipod...phew, that's a lotta Ipod! Would have been nice IF Kenwood included it in with the radio.

While this is a product specifically designed to go with my radio, it is very well made. There are people who have tried cheaper products that were supposed do the same job but had spotty results. I've already advised a friend that this is quality product and where it can be found.

So happy we had this installed with the new radio system in the car. It enables connection from my computer, ipad and even iphone. Just love this cable. Kenwood is not the same without it.

The cable is great, hooks right up to my kenwood reciever. It is a must for video watching and is perfect because it lets me control eveything on screen.

I used a generic cable in my car but it stopped working after a year. I'm hoping this genuine cable from Pioneer will last longer!
