Q: Does this brewer recognize off brand pods (not Keurig brand)?
A: I have tried using eco-pods (name brands)--the kind with the rounded paper bottom. I cannot get the top to close properly on the coffeemaker to pierce the top of the pod. They are not a good fit for the new Keurig.

A: You are not limited to brewing only Keurig pods in the K-Supreme coffee maker, however, we recommend brewing with our branded or licensed K-Cup pods for the best brewing and beverage experience. We hope this is helpful!

Q: Can you just use it for hot water with no JCPenney in it?
A: Without a K-Cup Pod in place, you can follow the normal brewing process to dispense hot water. We hope this information is helpful.
