I bought this keyboard because I had a pretty hefty discount thanks to some credit card rewards points. I was looking for a wireless keyboard that had the Mac keys and wasn't just a Windows keyboard that was being used on a Mac. This keyboard is just what I needed. Yes, it came with the Windows keys but was already set up and ready to go on my iMac. It pairs quickly and the battery stays charged for a LONG time. I've had it over three months now and have only charged it once. My only complaint, and it's really quite minor, is that the LED lights don't shine through the keycaps. I have a Redragon keyboard for my work laptop that has the shine through keycaps and I really like the way that looks. The Keychron LEDs only shine around the bottom of the keys so it's not as "bright" but it's not a deal breaker since the original Apple keyboard didn't have any lights. I do like that the Keychron doesn't require you to install software to make updates to the lighting like the Redragon does (which means I'm stuck with just the basic options since work doesn't allow downloads). Overall I really do like this keyboard. It's taken a little getting used to because it is smaller without the 10-key keypad on it but I've gotten used to it. Would I buy it again at full price? Ehh.. probably not, but for the price I paid I'm extremely happy. I'm sure for those who are mechanical keyboard afficionados the price is good as I noticed most decent mechanicals are higher, but I just wanted to good sounding, good feeling keyboard that maybe had some fun lights just for aesthetic purposes and the Keychron K8 Max delivered.
