So, I picked up the Keychron Q1HE recently, and I’ve gotta say, it’s a solid game-changer – not just for gaming but for work too. Honestly, I mostly bought it because I wanted a keyboard that could handle some casual gaming and all the typing I do at my 9-to-5, and this one totally delivers on both. First impressions: this thing is a TANK. It’s got that premium, all-metal body that makes it feel way more high-end than most office keyboards. There’s a heft to it that I really like, especially when I’m typing all day. The keys have this satisfying clack (not obnoxious, just nice), and the customizable RGB lighting is just the cherry on top. I didn’t think I’d care about the lighting for work, but it actually keeps things fun during those long email sessions. Plus, you can keep it subtle with a warm glow or go full RGB mode if you need a little end-of-day motivation. One feature I didn’t expect to love as much is the gasket mount. It gives this soft, almost cushiony typing experience that’s somehow soothing? Like, I find myself typing faster just because it’s so comfortable, and if you’re someone who’s typing reports, emails, or even code, this is a serious plus. I also appreciate that the switches are hot-swappable, so if I ever want to experiment with a different feel, it’s easy to swap them out. Final thoughts: it's absolutely worth the price point; if you’re looking for a keyboard that brings some fun to the office and is perfect for after-hours gaming, the Q1HE is worth it.

Sounds and feels great with a nice thocc sound. Ability to customize the keyboard using a web browser is a huge plus so you don’t have to download any apps. I play fps games so I made my wasd keys more sensitive. My wife steals my keyboard sometimes for work while I’m at work. She loves it and wants an ergonomic version. Looking forward to customizing the key caps someday, but for now love the look.

This keyboard is an absolute dream. It feels and sounds really nice! I'm a programmer and I thought that it might not have the right incline I needed to be able to type all day, but I've had zero discomfort. The app to customize the keyboard is non-intrusive and that's a huge plus for me. I love it.

I’ve had the keyboard for about a week now and I can confidently say this is my best keyboard ever owning, I’ve recently switched from a Apex PRO TKL and yes I game mostly rather than type. I can say this keyboard tops the apex pro tkl build quality switches and overall feeling ( both keyboards are HE that I am talking about) This keyboard is great for gamers and people who type on the regular, RGB is nice and you can customize this board anyway you want with it being hot swappable rather than being soldered in like my apex pro :( anyways get this keyboard not faster than the wooting but definitely better quality.

Just took this out of the box and WOW, is it ever smooth. I generally gravitate towards brown switches because they give good feedback but are still usable in an office setting without getting looks. With that said, these purple switches are a game-changer. After using HE switches, I don’t think I could go back. For setup, it comes with step-by-step instructions on how to connect, change the RGB color, and different hot keys. I have a MacBook and the easy toggle between Mac/PC is so convenient. Seamless out of box experience. I haven’t played around with the software yet, and honestly I don’t think I will even need to. I know that this would be a huge addition for gaming, but I think it’s perfect in its stock setup for everyday use. I’d recommend to honestly anyone from office use to competitive gaming.

i had my eye on this keyboard for a while, and then it went on sale on a day when i didnt have my car. i decided to skateboard to best buy and pick this up. i put the keyboard in my backpack and then it started to rain heavily. i was going down a hill and then i hit a massive divot, sending my body propelling foward and landing square on my back. i weigh 200ish pounds and i landed directly on this keyboard with so much force that my back was sore. it still works completely fine. 10/10 absolute tank

I just got this keyboard in a while. It’s amazing. The build quality is insane. It’s solid aluminum. The keys are buttery smooth you can tell Work was put in. I’ve tried about six other keyboards from brands like Logitech razor and corsair. This is so much better. I want to type and play games more with this keyboard. Just buy it.

Replaced my Keychron V2 with this model. Big difference between the mechanical keys and magnetic keys. The magnetic keys feel slightly more firm in the resistance to key presses relative to the mechanical switches in the V2. The variable actuation setting allows you to apply the firmness that suits you. Lighting options are easy to use and work well It's quite heavy, several pounds I believe, it's hefty trying to pick up with one hand. The keys are also very quiet when compared with their counterpart mechanical switch-keys. You get the feel like you're using an old type-writer but without the noise.

The keyboard itself is incredibly smooth to type with. I enjoy the sounds that it makes as I go. The online software for it is incredibly easy to understand and work with. I only have 3 issues with it, and 2 of which are small. 1. (small) This keyboard is smaller than what I am used to, and I enjoy having a number pad, but there isn't an option available with a number pad so that will take some getting used to. 2. (small) Every now and then I will type and it will feel like the keycap is very slightly scraping as it is pressed. I don't know if this is user error as I don't type professionally, and it may just be touching other keycaps as it goes down, or maybe its just a switch that needs to be lubed a little better, but it is still a slight annoyance for myself. The problem seems to specifically for the letter "e" but it also isn't every time that I use it so I think it might be a combo of user error and an issue with the manufacturing. 3. (Large) Price. I know that custom keyboards are expensive, but with this keyboard being over $200 and still having the above issues, I've debated returning it a few times, and still am debating it while I'm in the 14 day return policy. I don't know if I would return it hoping for a replacement or if I just want to try getting a full refund to attempt a different keyboard or not, but I will see how it goes. All that being said, if you were planning on spending a couple hundred dollars on a keyboard, or if it is not a large amount of money to you, then it is a great option!!!

Great keyboard. It’s very well built, the sounds of it are amazing, and it is a very heavy keyboard so it doesn't slide at all. The only thing that I can complain about is the software, on the fact that you have to use a website every time instead of being able to download one on your desktop. But other than that, it is an all-around fantastic keyboard for someone who wants to get into the custom keyboard community.

Great keyboard that feels premium. Feels very solid and could possibly be used as a blunt weapon. Very heavy though. Plug and play, plus you can customize the actuation. Great if you're looking for a permanent setup, maybe not so great if you move around a lot.

This is one heavy keyboard and I like it. The keys make an impact pressed similar to PCs of old which is something that is mandatory for me. I've missed feel and sounds of those old keyboards. It's sturdy and well built. I've only kept it plugged in so I can't speak of battery life and connectivity but that's not important to me as I don't plan on using wireless with it unless there is a need. Definitely worth the money.

Out of the box it types and feels great, Excellent build quality. Easy to customize RGB and switch actuation in Keychron Launcher in any browser. I own 3 Keychron keyboards but this is my only hall effect one. They are all good.

[Employee of bestbuy] I am not a keyboard fanatic and in fact had the same hyper x keyboard for years. I recently upgraded just because I felt like I wanted something better with socd and the like. Initially went with razers tkl v3 pro option and was severely disappointed in its cheap build and horrible feel. Went to this after seeing the design and the sound and wow. Just WOW. Best keyboard I have felt. If you are looking for something with magnetic switches, good quality, and full aluminum body, look no further this wins in build quality and does very good on performance.
