Bought this subwoofer to replace the factory sub in a Stelvio, reusing the factory sealed box. Chose it because it has a semi-shallow depth and required box volume is small. It works great in the Stelvio!

Sun sounds much better than the stock wrangler sub and easy install

This Comp C paired with Kicker amp replaced the OEM Bose free air sub in the rear deck of my 2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan 6MT to save my trunk space. Yes it can be used for free air applications (see the video on the Kicker page). The sub is very musical (smooth and punchy as needed with no distortion) and fills out the bottom end for pretty much everything I throw at it except ultra lows given it is only 8 inches. I would definitely buy again.

I bought this to replace a blown subwoofer my Lexus ES. This sounds better and a major improvement over stock speaker.

My oem sub in the car went bad one day and music sounded sooo bleh and flat without the subwoofer and only this one seemed to fit/work with my 09 civic si. Had to do a bit of addons/mods to make it actually fit though. Also bought the copper wires from bestbuy to use with it and now I finally have good sounding music back in my car. I would say it even sounds better than my old oem sub.

5 Star rating. Great sound and good output on my 2002 Chevy Tahoe.

I installed this in my 2002 Tahoe and it’s been working great after a month of use. DISCLAIMER: This will not properly fit in the factory subwoofer box in a 2002 Tahoe. The edge of the sub can be trimmed for a very tight fit. My only complaint about this is that they don’t come with any instructions about how to install the sub. You’ll either need previous knowledge of the installation process, or you’ll need to do research. If you’re wondering how good the subwoofer holds up, this isn’t the best review for that info. I don’t play my music very loud, but it hasn’t broken or gotten distorted. (This sub will work with the factory amp in a 2002 Tahoe, but it sounds just a bit underpowered. The main speakers overpower the sound of the sub a little.)

I've had many kicker speakers and have never had any issues. For my set up which was not in an enclosure, the punch could be better. Would recommend for the right set up.

I used the subwoofer in a HT setup in a small sealed box. It was not very impressive especially at low volume. It sounded very in-precise and kinda “rumbly”. I ended up returning this one and paying more than double for a 8” Dayton Ultimax. Very happy with the Dayton. Best Buy return process was great and simple even though I had to do the return in the beginning of COVID pandemic.

It is better than I expected. It performs well. The service was also good.
