I had installed this sub in my 2013 Volkswagen GTi 4 door and I had a 1000w pioneer amp and a boss Apple CarPlay head unit and the sub performed waaayyy better than I expected, I originally was looking at a 10 inch 250w Kicker sub because I didn’t want to rattle my car apart but I saw this 12 inch 500w RMS sub was not much more money wise so I figured eh a 12 should have the lows that I want and it’s only 500w RMS so it’s probably going to be perfect and not obnoxiously loud being a 500w but man I was wrong it’s not obnoxious to me but the thing BUMPS, I played 66 chambers as a bass test song and it literally made my Uniden radar vibrate so much it broke it and my rear view mirror would vibrate out of position and my interior trim would violently buzz so much I thought the sub was peaking bad but it wasn’t I saw the trim moving and listened to the sub and you can feel the bass in your whole body no joke no exaggeration and my hair vibrates and it shakes your throat it’s actually insane how powerful this 12 inch is for 500w RMS now granted I think the peak wattage is 1000w and I am running a 1000w amp but also keep in mind my acoustics are amazing for subwoofers being that the box wasn’t trapped in a trunk and could push all that air through the cabin but it was so loud I thought I blew my ear drum because my ear hurt really bad after that experience I actually went to urgent care and I told them about the sub experience and the doctor used to bump in his older days and he told me the pressure from subs in the cabin can cause irritation in your ears so anyways yeah just buy it it’s a phenomenal sub and I didn’t even have it turned it halfway even like this kicker can take some serious abuse and yes I had the sub bridged but yeah I will be buying kicker again without a doubt they are my new favorite and haven’t blown on me like other brand have in the past

This subwoofer is exceptional. Both the box and the subwoofer are made with great and high quality materials. I’m very pleased with it.

Definitely worth the money! Purchased this after blowing a Kicker CompC Loaded Enclosure 10” within a week of having it lol. Purchased the open box excellent subwoofer. Packs a lot of punch. Wish I was able to get the duals enclosure but I still need the trunk space.

I'm not using this in a typical vehicle setup, but actually in a shop-type setup along with other components. This 12" Kicker CompR loaded in a vented enclosure is a BEAST. It's been pushing 500 watts RMS from a Kenwood mono-amp for months without a hitch. I use it almost daily and enjoy every bit of it. The box is quite hefty, as it should be, and if you can fit it where you need it, for the price it is a great value!

This subwoofer has been tuned perfectly by the Geek Squad crew and it bumps. The whole family loves going out for long drives just listening to all types of music. The upgraded system makes driving such a joy! This subwoofer really puts out a ton of bass! I highly recommend it.

Once you get this Kicker dialed, holy smokes, the lows sound amazing.

If what you are looking for is good quality I recommend it sounds quite good and if there are two of these it is much better

Smelled like it was burning for a a few days and I was scared it was going to blow was tuned correctly so wasn’t my fault but after that the smell went away thing shakes my truck cab

The truth is that I bought it, thinking that it would be enough for my team, but it is even too much... I recommend it

I picked up this subwoofer setup today and was absolutely blown away by the sound it produced. It’s power by an Alpine V12 600 watts at 2 ohms which works incredibly well.

These guys answered so many questions of mine and walked around with me for an hour and I had no clue what I wanted and was so lost. I eventually bought a very good Christmas for my family and had a really good experience and I usually don’t care for shopping .

A Best Buy tech recommended this to me, and i couldnt be happier. I ultimately picked this over the comp-c because I never had a 12 inch sub before. This thing is impressive. I paired it with a Kicker mono-amp, and it scared me the moment I turned the music on, wasn’t expecting how hard it kicks. I love it, and absolutely recommend it
