A: The case appears to be a rubber material, especially when you look at the product online. Though, when I went into the store to purchase the case it was to my surprise a hard plastic material. It will protect the device's exterior if it is dropped. I purchased this case for the tablet that was gifted to my grandfather who is clumsy. So, it is a good investment and a well made product.

A: No it does not I am afraid. SEYMAC puts out an excellent product available on Amazon. It not only has a similar rubberized case but also has the kickstand. Additionally, it has a hand strap that is adjustable for a comfortable viewing angle AND a neck strap. So you are protected both before and after a drop. Prevention and protection. It costs about $35 USD.
