This is an interesting multiplayer game to play with others. The online servers are down, but it's still a great local multiplayer game.

Best game for 8 players on one switch. it was only 4 player per switch at release, but it was updated so ignore reviews that say otherwise. Get 8 people around a big tv and this is an awesome game. It's not great for those who have no gaming experience, but people who play games don't need to have experience with this game to enjoy it. It's always two teams and I think it's best 4 on 4. (3 on 3 works but 2 on 2 is too few people). I've done this a number of times with a group that's never played it before, and it's really fun to tell them something new after every couple rounds. I've also done this with a group that we played this for a game night every few weeks, and we keep loving it. I hear online works well, but I've just used it for 8 people on one switch. It's great! Oh, and there have been a number of decent free updates, and supposedly some small stuff is still coming.

I like that this game is simple and yet has deeper strategy as well. I like the social/ team based aspect of the game. I like that the multiple roles which make the game somewhat inclusive. I like the nostalgia factor of the game. I like that it reminds me of the kind of games I would play at summer camp as a kid. In fact the game was originally a summer camp game. I like the arcade scene this game is attached to via Killer Queen Arcade. I don't like the squeezed in smaller maps. I don't like the fact that the game is so balanced against berries. It's not as fun as the arcade version but I'm sure they are working on it all the time to make it better. I don't like waiting a long time in queue.

Wasnt really sure Id be too interested in this one but I couldnt pass on it when they had it on sale for $10! Its actually I really fun multiplayer game. Single player is fun as well. I think up to 8 players can play at the same time. The game has pixely graphics that everyone seems to be doing these days but look clean in HD.

Killer Queen is probably the best arcade game created in the last 5 years, though to be honest it doesn't have much competition, especially outside of countries like Japan where arcades still exist to a degree and receive new games. It's hard to describe it's complexity, but essentially it's a 5V5 team game where the moment to moment gameplay is some combination of Joust, Super Mario Bros, and strategy game. Killer Queen Black brings the arcade game home but tweaks it in numerous ways big and small to better fit the home platform. First it drops the player count to 4V4 while increasing the variety of play mechanics available to each player. The queen can now both dive bomb and dash at enemies, warriors have access to a variety of weapon types and drones can now throw berries. However, at its core it remains a fantastic multiplayer co-op/versus experience and almost wholly unique in execution.

I can’t really give it more of a ringing endorsement than saying this: it has the potential to be the definitive online multiplayer experience of 2019, and that’s coming from someone who plays Tetris 99 every single day. If you can get friends together, local or otherwise, you’re guaranteed an awesome time. Dynamite with a laser beam, indeed. My mind’s already blown.

i got this game for under 10 bucks, so for the price you cant beat it. kids had at least 10 bucks worth of fun for a few days so worth the money although not super appealing to continual play long term

Fill like I'm back at an arcade! Quick and intense gameplay, love that it is co-op. Got it on sale and am very happy with this purchase. It's a super easy game for me to pick up and play.

I played this game in an arcaded and it was a TON of fun for a large group. This game is very close to the original format and allows up to 8 players online or locally. Great game, super intense and quick, great for parties.

Joust meets capture the flag. Three ways to win: Earn a military victory by slaying the enemy team’s queen, a speedy and deadly unit, three times;Earn an economic victory by gathering berries from around the playfield and returning them to your team’s hive; or passing a Snail through a goal post.

KQB is rather fun when you have people you can play it with, much like the arcade release of it's name. With three ways to secure victory, the action never slows down, and matches last long enough to be able to formulate a plan on the map. Online is more or less the same thanks to in-game chat and of course you can play with AI, but it's just not as fun that way. The simplicity makes it a good recommendation for either digital or physical (if you like the box-art and the joy-con skins) play in short bursts.

I was able to get this for $5, and it was a quick / nice little gift for a friend!

It's a great local player hasn't. Too bad it's multiplayer got messed up and no longer available

This is a game that highly focuses on vs-style game play in the sense that is a multiplayer arena based game. Which is probably only playing with a room full of people. It feels more like a game you would spend a few dollars to buy on a digital store. regardless if you have the people to play with it can be a great competitive time.

When I initially saw the screenshots I was like why'd they remake Joust. Then I saw the gameplay and it was like Joust on speed, an evolved version of the game with new gameplay and elements never thought of in the arcade and Atari original. The game excels in multiplayer where things get hectic, while it can be played in single player, it's best enjoyed with friends.

Great game experience and is offered through Best Buy at a great price.

This is a great example of a fun couch multi-player game on switch. But unlike Overcooked or Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime you and your friends can play together online against others, and that is very very fun. Even if your skills are low, you are bound to have fun trying to formulate strategies and improving your skills. But alone, this game is worthless.

Great game, definitely worth owning and cant beat the price.

I got it on sale and the game was a fun multiplayer arcade experience. I don’t play it much on single player but the couch cooperative play is great and if you have another switch and game you can have a four player experience at home.

Great game to play with a group of friends, fast paced and a little stressful sometimes but that’s what makes it fun when playing with friends. It’s up to 4 players on one switch, would of been cooler if they allowed all 8 controllers to link to one switch.
