Great gangster movie. Case arrived damaged in transit, so returned it without opening. Returning was complicated as it was “media” and the store couldn’t put back into my account the points I’d used, so they finally gave me a gift card instead.

Picked it up as it was mentioned in Greil Marcus' History of Rock'N'Roll in 10 Songs. In the Chapter on Money (That's What I Want), Marcus closes it out with Pitt's dialogue with Richard Jenkins. Great commentary on what America is.

Amazing performances throughout and an intense story to boot only makes this film unforgettable. Lots of intense action sequences laced between the dirty underbelly of American society keeps you on your toes, and once the finale rolls in you'll be shocked and awed.

Sort of low rent Scorcese, but gritty and entertaining. A heist by some dimbulb bad guys of a mob poker game that quickly comes apart at the seams. A bit talky at times, but the dialogue is ripe. And when the action kicks in, it's brutal and suspenseful and provocatively staged. A bevy of terrific performances by Scoot McNairy, the late James Gandolfini, and Brad Pitt as a philosophical hitman, who delivers one of the most chilling and political final movie linex I've ever heard. Found myself riveted every time I came across this on cable, so bought it. Happy I did.

Was a disappointed in this movie. Lack of complexity with the plot, fairly weak storyline. Could have told the story in an hour, just not enough going on. With that bring said, I'll watch it again hoping to find a little more. Couldn't recommend this movie to anyone. Very average at best.

Brad Pitt plays a mob enforcer with a light touch. It's really pretty funny and I enjoyed watching it. Not Brad's best movie but entertaining nonetheless.

At face value, it's an enjoyable crime thriller. But if you want to look deeper, the metaphors within this movie are super clever and, dare I say, brilliant. I am frankly shocked at the low reviews by laypeople this movie has gotten. I think maybe part of the reason is they see Brad Pitt holding a gun on the cover and expect a big shoot em up movie, and not have to think. Maybe people get offended by the politics within too.

Movie has a good pace, which keeps the audience watching waiting for the next step of the movie.

Killing Them Softly is quite an impressive film, it offers a standard plot line; however, it's still thoroughly enjoyable. Brad Pitt, Scott McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, Ray Liotta, Richard Jenkins & James Gandolfini turns out some exciting performances. It is a sort of dark comedy and it's quite entertaining. You can't beat the price at Bestbuy and you get the DVD and Blu Ray and a Digital Copy. Wicked! Check it out.

Not much you can say about this movie, fantastic movie! Brad Pitt is killing amazing! This movie is amazing! You need this in your collection! And you might as well as get the steelbook, I think you can still pick up this steel at store, it's 11.99 which is the same at the normal movie, if you can't find the steel, still pick this up if you haven't seen it, and if you have and don't own it get it!

A hit man sent to figure out who hit the pocker game and ran off with the loot, was it an inside man ? or just a wanna be gangster ? The truth will be known and the consequences will be grave.

I thought the movie was good but could have been a little longer, like all the actors used.

Good flick. Worth the money. Brad Pitt is good as usual, even as a different kind of role.

I've heard horrible things about this movie but it isn't bad. Moves slower than what people probably thought so that drew some bad opinions. Story is good and different.

The entire cast is top-notch, but the story itself is kind of all over the place.
