A great little device that makes quick back ups
I recently purchased this device to back up vacation photos that me and my family were taking on our iPhones. I know you're probably thinking there are other options for this purpose (iCloud, connecting to your laptop, etc). However, we were going to be heading south on a Mexican cruise for 7 days. So data access an issue (iCloud) and I didnt want to pack a laptop for the cruise. Additionally, I was concerned the laptop would be subject to theft. Anyhow, who wants to bring a laptop on a 7 day vacation?! A friend introduced me to the Kingston Bolt and said it would serve the purpose I wanted it for. Basically, each day, I would plug it into each family members phone, select the new photos and then copy them to the Bolt. It was surprisingly fast. To give you an example, I copied 111 pictures from an iPhone 6 and it took a hair over 17 seconds. After each "copy session", I would put it back in its handy and secure silicone carrier, which was attached to my house keys. When I got home, I simply stuck the Bolt into my laptop and dumped all the photos (then uploaded to Google Photos for sharing). All in all, its a great little device. While not being used to back up photos, I learned that I can copy videos to the Bolt and then play them on any iDevice that has the Kingston Bolt application on it. So, as an example, I was able to copy over some home videos and stick them into my Mom's iPad so she could watch the videos on a bigger screen. I imagine this would've come in handy when my kids were younger, allowing me to quickly copy over their kid videos for quick playback on any iDevice. When not performing its back up or video sharing duties, the Bolt stays on my keychain. Its small enough that I dont notice it in my pocket. But its always available in case I need it for iPhone or regular computer duties. Highly recommend!

Great storage device
Great storage device! Easy to access, load and use. Size is a definite plus and the rubber case is very protective.

Kingston Bolt
I looked for something small and easy to use to down load off IPhone and store. Did not want to pay extra storage fees to Apple and this was the best alternative I looked at various other units and found this easy to use and very small
