Lesser Billy Wilder is still miles better than the majority of cinema out there. With Dino playing a caricature of himself passing through a small town, the film plays as a fairly dark comedy that pushes the bounds of the already crumbling production code and presages the eruption of discontent coming later in the decade. Solid transfer on the disc for a film of this age.
