We replaced our over the range microwave. So far so good, we really like the look and has some good features.

I purchased this microwave as a replacement for a previous KitchenAid microwave with a trim kit. The new microwave fit perfectly with the trim kit and installation was quick and easy. The microwave has many programmed features that make using it simple. The microwave is very quiet during operation. I am pleased with this purchase and would recommend the product to others.

This is a very good microwave. It is slightly smaller than most but still very powerful. We miss the quick on; it does not have the function to select a number and get that many minutes. Also the door is noisy when it shuts. Overall, the quality seems good and it matches the other Kitchenaid appliances.

Kitchen Aide makes a nice looking product that has nice features. I always recommmend KA appliances when clients are updating their homes.

Spent more on this microwave to match my other appliances, it only lasted about 14 months, it would run but not heat the food. Contacted kitchenaid and told me they couldn't do anything for me because I was 2 months past warranty. For this kind of money I would expect it to last a lot longer.

excellent microwave, with plenty of power. Very ease to read and use buttons provide a large variety of functions.

Kitchenaid products have been our go to line for their quality. The size of this mirowave (1.6) fits all our needs. The newer model is more quiet then are last model. The Kitchenaid line is a better quality than the Whirlpool line. The extra cost is worth it.

Needed a microwave to fit into the 24" cabinet space to replace an older Kitchen Aid that was rustsing out in the back. Because KA is typically good quality, we decided to stick with the KA. It is powerful, the motor is quieter than the older model. It performs the functions it should and I liked that the options were very similar to my older model. However, after about a month, the keypad started forming bubbles on the numbers which are used most often...just like so many reviews complained about. This is extremely disappointing for a $500 microwave and not at all what I would expect from Kitchen Aid. Shame on me for not listening to the reviews. Unfortunately, I didn't have much choice given the space I was working with...wish I would have purchased the $100 GE and saved my money.

We had a KitchenAid microwave in the house before and all of our other appliances are KitchenAid, so it narrowed it right down when the old one died. (It lasted 12 years). It was also a built in, so we pretty much had to buy the same size, and this is the one that fit the bill. I guess not much has changed in the last 12 years, as it is very similar. I will say it is quieter than the previous one. the buttons seem like you have to push them a bit harder, and when you use the timer it says "end" when done and you have to hit the cancel button to clear it and get the time to show again. Minor, yes, but a bit annoying. Other than that, it works quite well.

Have to push very hard on the button to open the microwave door. Got Kitchenaid because wanted to match the rest of the appliances.

Very nice appliance and runs fairly quietly. There are features that are found on other less expensive brands that would be a nice add to this model (i.e., one touch timer settings).

I was very surprised with how clean and modern this looks. I love the 30 second feature. We are really happy with this microwave.

This microwave looks great and works well. Only drawback is the lifespan of this appliance. This is the THIRD one I have replaced in the past 6 years. We use ours every day and the longest one has lasted has been slightly over two years. I would expect more from a KitchenAid at this price but matches our other appliances.

Feels cheap, I hope it lasts! I thought Kitchen Aid microwave would be better. The show room did not have a model to look at before we bought it.

Bought to replace original unit that quit working. Also bought KitchenAid trim kit for original unit. Together, they looked great and worked well. Pacific Sales did not offer a trim kit for this unit, but referred me to Micro Trim, which I purchased. The trim kit looks terrible as it will not allow microwave door to pivot opening properly unless M/W is not flush with trim. Very unhappy.

I've owned two of these microwaves. The first came with the house I built and the second I purchased to replace the first. In both cases, the microwave itself worked well with the exception of one simple but important feature: the door latch lever system. Put simply, the button to open the door broke twice on one of our microwaves and again on the new one. Pressing the button to open the door apparently wore down the lever system and made the button inoperable in under a year. I hired a repairman who told me that this was a very common problem with this microwave. I really wanted to purchase a Kitchen Aid microwave since my home has an expensive set of built-in Kitchen Aid appliances but this microwave clearly comes standard with a defective part. The $12k Kitchen Aid refrigerator we have has a similar problem related to the ice maker. It, too, keeps breaking in the same exact way every year. It has been repaired twice and replaced with a new ice maker once in just a few years but is now once again broken. When I contacted the company, it did nothing to stand behind its products. So, now I don't trust the reliability or quality of Kitchen Aid's products and neither should you.

We installed one of these 9 years ago, we have had two fail. So I just installed the third Kitchenaide microwave and hoping it lasts longer than the first two.

It is a microwave. Nothing out of this world. But it was the best option (price/benefit). I also got the trim kit to make it look slicker.

smaller and louder than the original kitchen aid microwave that this replaced. but we felt we needed to stick with kitchen aid for the uniformity of our kitchen appliance set. also, be careful to order the correct trim kit. our salesperson ordered one that was too large given the dimensions provided.

So it works well and it fit our old kitchen aid frame. New model looks basically the same.
