A: You can vent it up or back or use it as recirculating

Q: This model will replace a Magtag microwave of the same measurements which is not mounted to the wall but to the cabinet over it. Can this model be mounted using the cabinet above it? Is there a bracket or template for that kind of installation?

A: This microwave is secured using a wall-mounted mounting plate that the bottom rear of this microwave sits on and two bolts that go through the bottom of cabinet above which secure it from the top. Q: Is the height really 16.5 in? We only have 16 1/8.

A: It is actually 17 inches when you allow for the built in venting fan (this is an "over the range microwave). Definitely will not work in smaller space.

Q: Can this microwave be placed onto an enclosed built-in shelf on an island rather than mounted above a stove top?

A: no it is an over the range microwave. Best Buy sells counter top micrwaves with trim kits for a built in look or some models are made to be built in to wall.

Q: Bought this unit but i'm confused it came with a metal rack i didn't think metal was allowed in the unit can you explain if this belonga in the microwave or is used for something else i see it in one of the pictures but it not explained thank you

A: Please read link below. The rack is for certain uses (I.e. convection) only and should be removed from microwave when not being used. A: Hello, This model does allow metal racks to be used if used properly per the use and care guide. Use the rectangular cooking rack only for 2-level cooking. To avoid damage to the microwave oven, always remove rack after 2-level cooking. To avoid damage to the microwave oven due to soil buildup, clean rack supports often. We hope this helps.
