Good looking and good use of space
I have had this side-by-side refrigerator for just under a month and have several, particular likes and only one or two concerns: Pros: Ice is FANTASTIC, it is not the half moon shape that contours to the side of a glass. The finish IS easy to keep clean, so far. I am tall and so is the refrigerator, so it makes the most out of vertical space (measure for cabinet clearance!). The configurable shelves, lighting and "chrome" finishes are nice. Contrary to other reviews, I do not find that it runs loud. Cons: My units refrigerator door does not close as tightly as the freezer door, so at the bottom, they are not flush across the front. I suspect there is an issue that is not easily remedied. Some of the plastic edges, are sharp...particularly on the clear door to the "butter" compartment. The drawers do not run as securely as I expect them to and do not feel sturdy.

Beat overall performance 102.1
I like 90% of the features. Have not tried the ice maker yet. I should have bypassed the wine rack. It fits very well and does not stick out from my counter. Not bulky, the freezer has just enough room for everyday cooking, and I don’t have to crowd my garage freezer. The drawers and shelves we to be kinda cheaply made.

Poor quality of interior material and finish
Looks nice and works great so far. But, for a high end price pretty poor quality of the exterior and interior. Bottom cover should be stainless instead of plastic. Looks a bit cheap. Flimsy drawers, don't move in and out smoothly as you would expect from a high quality unit. Don't expect them to last long until they break. Should come with additional shelf and door bins for more flexibility and use of space. Seems to have production issues with protruded door insulation - see pictures. First unit came with bent doors, second one is better (picture) but still not what I would expect from the higher end KitchenAid brand. Quality control doesn't seem up to speed - see pictures. Overall ok but not worth the additional price to comparable products.

Looks Nice, Lacking Flexible Storage Solutions
We made this purchase to replace an old refrigerator that was a premium product in its day (12 years ago). Our options were limited since we required a counter-depth appliance. Although we like the SS and simple design characteristics of this model, the interior features are disappointing. Most of the drawers do not glide on rollers, they slide roughly on plastic rails, except for the door shelves, the main shelves are not adjustable (except to remove them altogether). A wine rack is supplied, but temperatures typically used for this product are not conducive to wine storage, and the rack takes up valuable space, so we removed it. For a counter-depth refrigerator, whose capacity is limited due to its dimension restrictions, storage flexibility is meaningful -- something mostly missing here. The external water/ice features, and electronic push-button controls are adequate, though not intuitive to use. We do like that the ice reservoir can be easily removed from the freezer door without having to wrestle it from an interior compartment. Overall, we wish there were more options, but due to vendor supply limitations caused by the national health situation, this was the best we could find. We would not recommend this product to a friend.

Would buy this again!
We are definitely happy with our purchase and learned in the process that KitchenAid is the same manufacturer as whirlpool. Unlike a lot of of the French door options - it becomes an issue when trying to open the door. This perfectly fit our space and has more than enough interior capacity. The exterior ice and water was important to us. The ice bin is ideal - you can actually remove it. In addition, the ice cubes are not the traditional crescent, but a unique medium size cube. We love the handles. They are almost retro in appearance. The stainless does not show any fingerprints. The functionality and practical aspects of how the shelves are situated is extremely helpful to allow you plenty of options to fit everything. Even though this is a little bit smaller in size, you can maximize the space with the layout. We like the look of this refrigerator, it maximizes your space and you do not have to take in consideration how the doors open they remain flush with your existing space.
