A: It does have a small spray arm up top that does spray downward on the top rack. I know I said it is a small spray arm but I have had no problems with the dishes up top to be cleaned quite well after every wash.
A: Had this debate with my husband. What looks like the pre-wash compartment IS for the pod. The pre-wash goes on top of the lettering that says pre-wash. There seems to be some small compartment under there.
