I have been chopping onions regular way for several years. This small appliance is a game changer. In less than 2 mins with chopping and tossing in. Im done. No more tears even peppers are chopped nicely, not mushy. I have no reason for puree yet. But definitely worth the buy.

Copied and pasted from a comment I left on a KitchenAid "how to use" video, because the tiny instruction manual doesn't make this clear: - The black part and the see-through part of the lid are one continuous thing that's designed to tell the spinning mechanism when to operate. Do not try to separate the black part and the see-through part like I did. I nearly broke mine before I realized they are one thing. - To remove the lid: Place your right finger on the side of the one-inch long lid handle; you'll likely be pressing the side of the black part and the plastic part at the same time, both of which are about as thick as a matchstick. Push this clockwise, so the lid looks like a letter "Q." The lid should pop right off. - The blade is attached to a black cylinder and should come right out when you pull it. - To remove the work cup, grab the handle with your right hand and then twist it clockwise toward the switch knob that's pointed to "Chop" (slow) or "Puree" (fast). The work cup should pop right off. Note that it's got little plastic hangers underneath that are meant to be positioned underneath the ones on the electric base. You do not wash the electric base, only the cup, the blade, and the lid. - You can't place the work cup straight back down onto the base because of the little hangers on the base itself that keep the cup in place. To reposition the cup and make sure it's snug, place the cup back on the base at a position so the handle is pointing just above the word "Puree" on the base. Then twist the cup counterclockwise; its little hangers should slot into the hangers on the base and snugly secure. - Plug the processor's cord (note that it tucks into the base in a circle shape) into a safe kitchen outlet, then squeeze the black part of the handle onto the plastic part of the handle in order to power the spinning mechanism. Other than that, the device itself is very good, excellent for pestos, chopping walnuts, and even stirring pizza doughs.

Perfect size for someone who lives with just one other person. Great quality—works well, powerful motor, & easy to clean.

Perfect size for small to medium jobs. Works quickly and efficiently. Adjustable speed. I liked mine so much I've given one as a gift and they love it for their small kitchen.

I cook a lot every day and I use a lot of jalapeños and just hot chili’s so that is what I use this little guy for have you ever had hot pepper hands well I get up at 3 am every morning to make food and now no more hot pepper hands this little guy gets used every morning and is a chap cuts evenly powerful enough to fill and handle it with the push control you don’t end up with a pulverized you end up with chopped I’ll be honest I only chopped hot peppers in here but it definitely dose what I wanted and it looks great on the counter real clean look easy to clean easy to use very happy with my purchase

Performance is great, easy to use, size is perfect for my needs. My only regret is not buying it sooner.

Purchased this as a Christmas gift...primarily for the color and reputation of the KitchenAid brand. User seems to be very happy with it.

I did not know when I bought this processor I would have to hold the button down to use it. I bought it to make Dubai chocolate which takes 20 minutes of pureeing nuts to make recipe. I would have much preferred a processor with an on off button. It worked fine but I will be researching for another one for long time processing.

I needed a food processor that would fit in my galley kitchen without taking up a lot of counter space. This product is great. It easily makes guacamole, mayonnaise, pesto and salsa. So easy to use and not as intimidating as larger size products. Cleans up quick and easy.

I really like this. I have had a large processor and a very mini one. This is just right for the two of us. Its fast and vegetables are evenly chopped. Really like the real color. I would highly recommend it.

Solidly built, very easy to assemble, use, and clean, then put away on a shelf until the next time, so it doesn't take up valuable counter space. Haven't tried it with heavy duty job like ice (have a blender for that), but this works perfect for smaller jobs like guacamole. Very happy with the purchase.

Overall great chopper for my Spanish sauces/pesto. It does the job with a large cup capacity for onions peppers and garlic all at the same time.
