We purchased this hood with our new cooktop. I love the auto fan feature. It only turns on when it needs to, mostly on low, very quiet. I still need to rip out the upper cabinets so I can show off the beautiful SS chimney cover. There are two sets of LED lights, true white for cooking, and a more incandescent looking LED if you like to leave on a light in the kitchen at night. Sorry the photo is a bit dark and does not fully showcase the beauty of the SS during the day.

We had selected another unit but changed to this product because of the other Kitchenaid appliances in our kitchen. I'm glad we did because the stainless-steel finish on this unit is much better than what we had previously picked out. Installation was a breeze too; comes with a template for drilling the holes required. The LED lighting is really nice and fully lights up the work area below. Happy customer so far!

Product was easy to install. Hardly makes noise even with the fan set at maximum speed. Looks good also.

This item came damaged and by the time my kitchen remodeling was done it was too late to change. It has a dent in the corner of the hood and under the hood it has a crack. I am.very disappointed

Upon delivery there we two new "gouges" in the front doors of the refrigerator that definitely were not there when we purchased it. Granted it was an "open box" item but those dents were NOT there when we paid for the refrigerator. I would NEVER buy something that had marks like that on it!!!!!

The range hood is beautiful and it is also noisy. I replaced a kitchen aid range hood (very noisy) with this one. I expected kitchen aid to be a standard size. Not in this case, the new range hood shaft is larger than the old one which caused some installation issues. The new range hood is a beauty but I wish it was not so noisy.

We recently converted our electric cook top to gas (used the LP converter kit since we are on propane. Cook top we purchased was the KitchenAid - 36" Built-In Gas Cooktop - Stainless steel Model:KCGS956ESS which we LOVE!! This vent hood was recommended by our Best Buy consultant for it's compatibility, function and beautiful form. The operation is powerful and very quiet! It has 2 lighting options which I like and 3 fan settings! Fairly easy to hard wire and install. Overall, extremely happy and highly recommend!

The range hood is amazing. The fan is very powerful and very quiet. The led lighting matches my kitchen very well. Highly recommended unit.

OMG, This Range Hood is powerful. It removes all odors from cooking and leaves your home the way it should be. No cooking smells in any of the bedrooms. It is EXTREMELY important that you have the correct infrastructure to vent out the airflow either through a cut out from your bird holes or within your exterior wall like your dryer vent.

I just had this installed by a contractor. When he turned it on, it started vibrating and sounded like a B-17 WW II bomber starting its engines. The motor/fan is so unbalanced that it can't even be operated above the "low" setting without fear of it coming loose from the ceiling. One would think that when you buy an expensive premium brand from a leading retailer that it would have been subjected to some sort of quality control inspection and pre-shipping operational checks to ensure that it operated perfectly. Apparently that is not the case with Kitchenaid. Now I have to call for a technician to come and troubleshoot the problem and either replace the motor/fan or the entire unit. This is a consumer hassle that should not happen! We did not purchase a cheap brand because we did not want to deal with a situation just like this! Yet here we are! If it's any consolation, the LED and ambient lights works well. This is very disappointing.

Motor replaced 3 times within 18 months. The first repair was within the warranty period. Unfortunately each motor replaced only lasted a few usages after replacement. The last motor replacement was 6 weeks ago. Due to 3 weeks of travel, I used the venthood 5-6 times before the motor failed again. Initial installer and first Kitchenaid repair company shoved broken pieces of styrofoam between the motor and wall to reduce the noise. Aside from the repeated malfunctioning, the few times the venthood worked, it is loud, very loud.

Powerful, I use the lowest setting and gets the job done. Not super quiet. Lights are nice and adjustable

Our new range hood is super! Love the look. Love how well is vents. Love the multiple venting options and love the full to low lighting options. The range hood truly helps make our kitchen remodel look great!

This sat in a box until January 2021 when I finally installed it. Powerful fan. Nice lighting over the Kitchen Aid cooktop (That we also bought at Best Buy). So happy with this product.

I ordered one of these, waited a while for delivery, then realized as my contractor was installing it was severely dented on the top of the hood. I returned it, waited another 3 weeks for delivery (due to back order) and received another dented unit in the same place! I had to go to a different store to buy one they had in stock to get it right away as my contractor was waiting (again) to put it in. The 3rd unit I bought still had small imperfections but I was exhausted and told him to just put it in anyway. What a mess. Overall it works well and looks nice minus the scratch I'll have to look at every time I use it. It's quiet which is important. Seems to be quality control issues but if you get one in good condition it's nice.

Very quiet and quickly clears the air in the kitchen. Easy to clean.

Honestly very disappointing for the expense. Does not move nearly enough air and has the most high maintenance grease traps I've ever experienced in a venthood. Garbage.

This hood took forever to get, but it was worth the wait. It is very clean and slim so it does not take over the space like normal hoods can in a kitchen. We have a six burner stove and it is able to handle the output. No alarms in the house and not too much odor.

We are remodeling our kitchen and we are experienced DIY'ers. This hood is going over a Viking 36" range. It is easy to install although you will need help lifting in place. We used a ledger board to ease the task. We also added the recirculate option. The unit has great lighting and the fan is quiet on low speed. Well made and fits well with our higher end approach.
