KitchenAid Blade Coffee Grinder: Grind fresh coffee beans for your morning cup of joe in this coffee grinder, which provides markings on the 4-oz. bowl to let you know how much coffee you're preparing. The 160W motor and stainless steel blade deliver powerful action.
Q: How well does the grind your coffee and does it have a Settings from 1 to 10 to grind the coffee
A: No this does not have any setting for 1-10, it's a small push pulse grinder you can control the fineness of coffee powder by slowly pulsing the grinder.
A: I've found that to get an even grind, you have to grind the coffee for a bit, shake up the partially ground coffee in the grinder and repeat the process until you get the level of even grind you desire. This is the only way I personally have been able to get an even grind. It's not annoying or problematic to me; it just forces you to be an active participant in the grinding process.
Q: Can we grind spices also in it??
A: It is capable of grinding spices but I would not recommend it is as some of the spice oils are very pungent and will affect the flavor of the coffee
Q: Can it be used for a small number (4) of medicine pills? Thanks!
A: Probably not if the pills are small. The blade sits up from the bottom of the grinder cup, so if they aren't big enough to touch the blade they can't get ground up.
A: I would not recommend for espresso grinding. I have been told that a burr (spelling?) grinder is best for that. My next purchase will be the burr grinder.
Q: Can it be used overseas on 220V voltage ?????
A: No you would have to get a converter for it if you want to use it overseas.
A: I found that this product really only produces finely ground coffee. It does take about 4-6 seconds for a full grind. One the coffee reaches that really fine grind, further grinding does not make the coffee any finer it just stirs the coffee. You can run it for a shorter amount of time, but the grind is inconsistent as some of the coffee is fine and some beans are not even split.
Q: Is the cord really only 4" long?
A: Mine measures roughly 34"
