I've had different food processors in my life, with over 50 years of cooking. Now as an empty nester I decided to purchased this 7-cup because I don't need something so big. My last workhorse processor was a Cuisinart. This KitchenAid got good reviews, it was a good price, fits in the cupboard well. Well... I can't shred anything because it just sits at the top of the blade. Cheese, zucchini, onion .... you name it. I'm so frustrated. Yes, I put my cheese in the freezer so it wasn't too soft to shred. I'm stopping here because I want to scream. Starting in the 70s KitchenAid was a great name. What has happened? Did nobody try this thing out first? The only thing it can do is chop, perhaps beadcrumbs or nuts. But I have an old 2-cup HB that does that just fine for me. Seems like I'm out a bunch of $$$ for this because I got rid of the boxing. I never dreamed this would happen!
