A: Haven't used it on high, yet, but would be shocked if exterior got hot. America's Test Kitchen rated it highest among slow cookers, and I am sure a cool exterior was one of their criteria.
Q: can this be programed to start cooking
A: Hi cat, The 6 quart Slow Cooker does not feature a delayed start option.
A: Yes, you can. When you use that button after turning on the power, the display says "ON". This is a good slow cooker and part of the reason is the even heat that comes through a heating "plate" rather than the heating ring around the insert that some use. My lid does not sit completely flat on the ceramic insert but it turns out that it does not matter. It doesn't evaporate a lot of fluid since the heat is so low. Very easy to use and so far, reliable.
A: The Slow Cooker lid does not have a silicone gasket around the lid.
Q: Does this slow cooker come with a carry case, if not, where can one be purchased?
A: It does not but there are covers out there that will fit it.
A: The 6 quart slow cooker features a ceramic lead free insert.
Q: Is there a carry case that will fit this slow cooker when you need to transport it?
A: Hi Elijoy, A carry case is not available for use with the 6 quart Slow Cooker.
Q: Are these made in China? What country are they made in?.
A: The product is made in China.
