I've recently started baking because one can only handle eating, sleeping, and breathing information technology for so long. One of the things I like making are cheesecakes. I have an older Betty Crocker branded hand mixer but it was getting cumbersome mixing this type of batter, especially when you went beyond a couple of 8oz packages of cream cheese. I looked at other brands, but like anything today, many of them had 8%, 9%+ negative (i.e. - 1-star) reviews. While the KitchenAids do have some negative reviews, they were farther and fewer in-between. So I bought this one about a month ago. I finally got to use it this past Thursday night for a "Cheesecake Bake Off" we were having at a departmental meeting. It performed as I hoped it would, even with up to two pounds of cream cheese and the subsequent batter. Yes, there are times you'll have to stop and knock the batter off of the paddle, but sometimes you can lower the bowl, turn the speed up a bit, and it'll knock it off for you. Overall, I'm happy with it and can't wait for more adventures with the KitchenAid. And yes, they are somewhat loud, but thing about what it's doing - this thing is powerful. I'll take it.

Powerful mixer, but bulky and loud. Would like the matte black be available soon. I was able to mix 20 batches of 70 ounces of gingerbread dough consecutively without this thing breaking or smoking. Gingerbread dough is thick and sticky! So i think everything else that’s not as thick and sticky will do perfectly fine.

Used my mixer for the first time today. Absolutely love it. Runs so smooth, mixes evenly. Nothing moves or vibrates during mixing because its so heavy and solid. Bowl snaps on with ease with a push, love the whisk which is all I ve used so far. It just fit under my cabinet. Got a great sale price during the holidays through Best Buy. Been waiting a long time for the best price. Well worth it. As Im getting older this will allow me to mix bread doughs and other batters that are tough to blend. So excited to use this mixer!

Love this mixer. I've had it for about 2 years now. It is very heavy. I keep it on my counter all the time. It was difficult to move back and forth until I bought this pad that sits underneath it. Now I can slide it around on the counter very easily.

I love my new mixer! The lift bowl is an inch or so wider which I like better than the bowl of my older one. The ink blue color is perfect and it looks great on my counter! The mixer works well and I'm sure it will get plenty of use.

This is an upgrade to my previous KitchenAid Mixer, and if I didn't read some of the other reviews, and then the manual I'd be pretty upset. I am the type of person who uses this machine, at least 3-4 times per week. It's been one year and good for me so far. I mentioned it being an upgrade, and after having my previous mixer for almost 2 decades (still going, btw) I figured I would just jump right in and use it. I think that's a common mistake. After getting comfortable on a similar device you forget some of the basics of operation. When people say it makes a loud noise, I would fully agree. It is loud, but it's a big electric motor turning some dough that would make me sweat to hand knead, so I get it. But, letting this bad boy warm up while I'm starting my dough has been the most crucial thing I've done. Allowing the gears to get lubricated, and the motor awake has made it a much smoother operator. If you like jazz or that smooth form of it anyway. I'm looking forward to buying another for my collection. I'd recommend it for sure. Just start by reading the manual, watch some YouTube videos on operation, and don't throw quick hardening cement in it, and you'll be fine.

What a machine it is. So powerful it's like cut my preparation down a lot when mixing, etc. it's totally worth getting a bigger wattage motor and unit itself. I can wait to use it each time!! It has the 3 attachments, wisk, dough hook, paddle. I got the black color and man does it look so good on the counter top. It's tall and big but every time I go by it my head turns and says what a Beauty. I had a smaller Kitchenaid for 14 years and in great condition yet so I passed it down to my Daughter, she's happy!! So far it's been great using it. So glad I made this choice!!!!

Mixes perfectly every time. The ability to adjust the height of the bowl ensures that everything blends together smoothly. The color is absolutely gorgeous and fits in with kitchen decor seamlessly. It is incredibly heavy, so moving it to different locations isn't the best.

I bought this as a gift for my sister on a whim when it was a 60% off deal of the day. I figured it was high quality as its part of their professional series. Once I pulled the trigger, I began researching customer reviews and identified more than a few negative ratings and experiences. Most centered around the mixer's motors burning out within 18 to 24 months of use. I started to feel a sense of buyer's remorse, thinking I may have selected a defective or poor quality mixer. I warned my sister and she looked into it. Her research showed that the negative reviews were a result of user error and misuse, where most of the owners put dense ingredients into the bowl and immediately kicked the mixer into its highest gear. She told me that not doing that would be common sense for anyone familiar with the appliance, and that perhaps those people were not well informed, and didn't read or follow the instructions and recommendations from Kitchen Aid. I gave her the mixer last week and she was able to run a few test drives, which was a treat for me. Her feedback was extremely positive! She loves the mixer, views it as high quality, and is confident it will stand up to the test of time. For background, she's a moderate to casual user. She uses the mixer to cook and bake for others as well as herself, and also uses the mixer heavily for regular, weekly meal prep. I'm extremely happy with the mixer for its high quality as an appliance and gift for my little sister.

So we bought a non pro version when we got married and we love it. However, once we saw this on a Black Friday deal, my goodness, we had to buy another. This thing is taller, lighter and a much better buy than the standard we bought. Personally I love this more than the standard series and love the navy color. Ps, free shipping arrived in just 2 days. Top notch all the way around.

Sturdy & works great for kneading my bread. Made batches of cookies too. Such a handy helper. If you like baking, this is worth the purchase. It may take sometime for placing in and removing the bowl but you’ll get the hang of it. It came with three attachments: paddle, whisk and dough hook. The paddle doesn’t really reach the sides well on the bowl so you’ll have to manually do it or buy the scrape attachment.

Great mixer. Love the size of the bowl. It mixes well! Love the attachments.

Got this over the holidays on a great sale. I have been thinking of getting one for a while, and glad I finally did. Making 3 batches of cookies at a time is much easier now. I also got most of the attachments to go along with it, but have not used them yet. I might look into getting the bigger bowl down the line. It is also quick and easy to clean up after food prep

I purchased this mixer as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Everyone in my family receives one when they set up house or gets married. She called me the first time she used it and said it was perfection. It takes up some room on her counter. But who wouldn't want to look at it all the time? The first thing she used it for was whipped country style potatoes. She said it was so nice to be able to make them like I do. Even if you are just starting to learn to cook, this is a kitchen tool you will find you can never go without. I look forward to seeing how quickly her kitchen skills develop with the aid of this mixer. I have the Artisan, and I am a little jealous I must say. But mine was a gift from my parents many years ago. With proper care, this mixer will last for 50+ years easily. Totally worth the money.

I found the color I was looking for at the best price ever! I sincerely recommend it, when it comes to quality and performance. It does the job a lot faster and easier especially for that delicious and fluffy bread making and so many other goodies. Now, when it comes to the weight. It is a quite heavy, but then a light weight equipment might not have the same performance or better yet durability. I'm very excited to have it. It came in the best time!

This is by far the best purchase i have made in a while. Very heavy, solid machine letting you know that it has an extremely well made motor. This is a professional piece of equipement and will add another dimension to your kitchen. It can do everything from making simple doughs to rolling pasta sheets, noodles, raviolis, mashed potatoes, ground meat and so many other things. Use it to shred chicken for buffalo dip, make cheese cake batter, or anything else you can think of at all to mix. This thing is a powerhorse.

This is my first mixer and I’m impressed. It’s heavy duty, beautiful, and large. Cannot wait to cook something.

I had been debating buying a standmixer for a while and the price during 2017 Labor Day weekend made the decision super easy atleast financially. I ordered it online and the delivery was quick. The first thing I did was knead dough for bread. It took about 10 minutes and dough was nice and firm. What was hard was putting the bowl back on the stand after cleaning. I really struggled with it. A bummer considering that kitchen aid professional is a rather pricey gadget for the kitchen and user convenience was considered least important while designing it! Unless you are planning to just wipe it down each time you use vs cleaning it with soap and water in the sink, it can get a little frustrating to put the bowl back in the stand. I also would have preferred if the bowl came with a cover and a splash guard.
