I purchased a pair of Klipsch R-600 F II series floor speakers in December 2022, on SALE from Best Buy, as an upgrade to replace the two Pioneer SP-FS52 floor speakers that I had in my 7:1 Home theater system. My system is currently powered by a Pioneer Elite VSX-LX101 receiver, and consists of a LG OLED TV and a Pioneer Ultra HD Blue Ray Player.DP-UB820-K. The Klipsch Reference floor speakers are 8 ohm vs the Pioneer which are 6 ohm and therefore more efficient. In addition they produce a bit more clarity, as well as more bass than the Pioneer speakers. The Klipsch speakers are two way speakers and were designed to handle up to a peak of 400 watts vs the Pioneer Speakers which are 3 way speakers and were designed to handle a maximum input of 130 watts. The Pioneer Speakers were designed by Andrew Jones and have received numerous positive reviews for their overall performance. The Klipsch R-600-F II specification sheet states that their binding posts are GOLD plated, however they are in fact aluminum NOT GOLD plated, the inputs for the Dolby Atmos add on speakers are also aluminum. I found the overall cabinet finish and application of the woodgrain vinyl on my Pioneer SP-FS52 speakers to be superior to the cabinet finish and application of the wood grain vinyl on my Klipsch Reference series Speakers and equal to the overall cabinet finish of my Reference Premier RP-500-CII speaker which retailed for $499.00. The feet which were provided for customer installation with the Klipsch Reference floor speakers were rather flimsy and made of plastic! Not what one would expect considering their suggested retail price of $499.00 each. That said, I have no doubt that the quality of the components, speakers and tweeters used in the construction of the R-600-F II speakers by Klipsch were superior to those used in the Pioneer speakers, but I personally was somewhat disappointed in the finish quality of the Klipsch cabinets and the misrepresentation in their specification sheet. On the other hand I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of the Pioneer by Andrew Jones Speakers which cost significantly less money. I do however, very much like the additional inputs on the Klipsch Reference Speakers for my Dolby Atmos add on Speakers which serve to reduce clutter. The attached photographs are pictures of the Pioneer SP-FS52 for comparison.
