Love it. Great quality. A little difficult moving older slides through the tray.

The Kodak Film & Slide Scanner has exceeded my expectations. It handles my old negatives and slides exceptionally well, producing clear and vibrant JPEG digital photos. One of the standout features for me is the 5" LCD screen, which makes it easy to preview and review images right on the device. It's user-friendly and portable, making the entire scanning process smooth and convenient. It helps me preserve some of my most cherished family memories in digital form. Highly recommended for photo enthusiasts and memory keepers alike!

My primary complaint with the scanner is the SD card, or lack of one. It includes several adapters, two cables, a cleaning brush, and a printed manual, but the description didn't make clear that it REQUIRES an SD card and doesn't include one. I assumed (I know ... my fault for assuming) that since it had a cable to connect it to the computer, you could scan slides directly to the computer. You can't. Without the $10 SD card, this unit is just a viewer. Once you have the scanner set up, operation is pretty smooth. Manually feed the slides through and press the scan button when you have each one lined up. After running a batch, tell it to transfer to the computer and it shows up as a flash drive you can copy the files from. It has some basic adjustments (resolution, brightness), but no flip or rotate, so you if you get a slide upside-down or rotated you either have to take the slide out and put it back in correctly or edit the image on your computer. Overall, it's a handy unit. It's pretty fast if you're just loading batches of slides. I had a bunch of old slides with handwritten dates, and in some cases labels. Since it won't scan directly to the computer (and it doesn't let you specify filenames), it became a process: Scan a set of slides, copy to computer, then go through each image and change the filename to include the date and/or label. One other minor complaint: If you set the date on the scanner, it will put that date on all the image files. Cool feature! But I was loading old family pictures from the 1970s and 1980s, and you can't set the date to that long ago. If the dates matter to you, you have to change them on the computer. Even still, I managed to load about 350 slides in 3 hours.

We have more than a thousand slides and color film negatives dating back to long before the BD (Before Digital) era. Up until now, getting them into the digital scrapbook has always been a total pain until one of our kids recommended the Kodak Film & Slide Scanner. Aside from its ease of use and excellent clarity, each kid – and grandkid – can have whatever photographic memories that they want, and can store it in their own cloud, disc, drive… whatever.

Great compact option for converting slides to digital format. The color and clarity is much better than a photo scanner I tried using. Its portability is also a bonus - you can save the digital files to an SD card (not included).

My primary purpose, when I purchased this scanner, was to convert a large collection of color slides to JPEG files. The User Manual has all the information needed but it is necessary to hunt for what you want in a small booklet. Have patience. The results are good. I had to try some color negatives too. The scanner translated the negatives into positive photos as advertised. These results are also good. Kodak doesn't make a power adapter for this scanner, and you are asked to use a USB port on your computer. However, Kodak told me that a power adapter used for charging your phone or camera battery may be used if the output matches the power required by the scanner; mine works. This scanner deserves five stars.

I was pleasantly surprised by this film scanner. It's simple but takes good images. Some slides do get cut off if you use the 110 setting so you either have to use the 126 setting and later crop the images or decide which parts of the image can be cropped out. Other than that the color and quality totally passed my test.

Great item to have if you have years of slides to go over and decide which ones you want pictures from. The ability to say the image to an SD card and later print from PC is fantastic. Recommend to anyone who has slides to view.

I've used this to transfer both 135 film negatives and slides. It is easy to use and create a good quality scan. You can make adjustments to the image before uploading it and this does a decent job of it. I haven't used that feature much since I use Adobe Lightroom to edit and manage photos, but this scanner can get your photos looking pretty good. It comes with a brush that you insert where the adapter goes in. Use it frequently because dust accumulates after a few uses. It is also a very compact scanner and takes up little desk space. I'm fully satisfied with it and recommend it.

Does the job - sort of. They do not tell you lose almost 20% of your slide - top and bottom get cropped. relatively easy to use. Construction is rather flimsy. It does get them digitized to a SD card. You will need another step to read the card and xfer to a memory stick. Know your application and objective(s) BEFORE deciding

I purchase this item to digitize some old 35 mm slides. It was very easy to scan and then download the pictures to my computer. The quality was very good. It was like watching a time capsule from when my wife and her family were very young. I enjoyed every slide.

Very easy to use. You can scan negative films and convert them to digital photos. Printed photos lose their color and clarity by time. So you can refresh your memories and share with other members of the family and friends.

This is a suitable scanner for slides. However, inserting the slides is tricky and they move around quite a bit. A redesign on that part of the equipment would be welcome. It's not the best scanner—the images have to be tweaked on my Mac. But for my purposes it's fine.

This was just what I needed to download old slides to my computer. It works well with old negatives, too. My only issue was that the directions could have been clearer. I found a Youtube video that demonstrated the scanner which helped.

A little hard to figure out the way to get the slides/film in front of the viewer but it generally works as advertised. Some of the images are cut off though (the entire image doesn't show on the screen).
