I didn't expect much from the stands when I ordered them, expecting them to be like many of the cheap ones on the market. But I was pleasantly surprised when I received the stands. The material its made out of is somewhat lightweight but it feels very sturdy. I've been using one of the stands with my gaming laptop (which I believe is around 6 lbs and 16") and it holds great. It also fits very well, it was hard to find a stand that works with a 16" laptop. I've used the stand on both my desk and my lapdesk and it grips onto my laptop very well and it grips onto the surface of my lapdesk/table well. It doesn’t slide around at all.
