The dvd is cleaned up as much as to be expected for a dvd not blu ray. There are still some sound artifacts in the movie, but a lot better than the original dvd from 2004. You can actually make out details in the movie now and the colors are much better. Not washed out like the original dvd that was a copy of a video tape.
