I've been receiving Lego sets for my birthday and Christmas since I was seven years old, kind of a running gag with my family and friends over the years. I am now thirty years old, and during the pandemic, my occasional hobby from childhood became a full-blown obsession, and I find myself buying all sorts of sets. This one is definitely one of the best! While it's certainly not the most fun or interesting build (you're gonna be building A TON of pylons and rafters), it feels a lot like a journey, because once it's all said and done, you'll look at your work and be quite pleased with yourself. It all fits together like a puzzle, with almost every piece in this set having a definitive purpose. It does really function as a coaster. It doesn't always operate very smoothly, but when it does, it's very satisfying to watch. The real fun comes in finishing the set, because once your done, you can add a Lego motor (sold separately, and there are multiple options) and a batter pack (also sold separately), to make the rollercoaster function on its own, hands free! You can also purchase a light kit (again, sold separately), and add that to it, which brings the set into a whole different level. All in all, I highly recommend this Lego set. It's definitely expensive, and the optional additions of a motor, battery, and a light kit, if you choose to go that route, won't help your wallet. But the final product is absolutely worth the money and effort, with or without the extra options. This is one of the best Lego sets they've made, in my personal opinion!

A very nice set. Lots of pieces and details. I also got a motor to operate the chain so the cars can go around all they want. Set looks great. Only thing to adjust is the chain for moving the cars up. Once you get the right length, everything works great. All the parts where there. A large set and one of the best.

What can I say? This is an amazing set!!!! If you love roller coasters, then you will love this Lego set!!!! Tons of steps to keep you busy for quite a while. Had to go to Ebay to get the motor for it because Lego discontinued that. Otherwise you need to hand crank it.

Very cool set! It shipped direct from Lego, but the corners were a little beat up.

As far as Lego sets go, this one is one of the BEST! the staggering amount of pieces and effort needed to complete is just out of this world. The set is also one of the few "big" sets that is as fun completed as it is to build it. Many sets are fun to build but then the fun ends or at the very least decreases as the set sits for pure admiration, oh not with this one. Have owned it for over 2 months now and my kids can't seem to get enough of it. they are already thinking on how to make it better, and what other creations they can complete to enhance this one. It is a MUST for any Lego fan out there.

This LEGO Roller Coaster is a must have for your build of a LEGO amusement park. It is also fun watching it in action. The only downside is I chose to get this item for in store pickup and the way they shipped it was just the item box that it came in (not boxed in a shipping box) with a sticker placed on top of the box. Because of the poor packaging the box was crushed on the sides and dented in the middle.
