The Lenovo Idea Tab (standard non-pro model) is a good midrange tablet for people who need something to do all of the basics, but don’t necessarily need a heavy duty tablet. I’m trying to use my computer less, and a tablet more, for my daily needs, and the Idea Tab has pretty much all I need to do this with. Setup was pretty standard. It comes with a USB-C charging cable, but no charging plug, so you’ll need to provide that. You enter your Google account and go through the steps, but at one point it did want to install a ton of bloatware apps of varying types, and made me go through three pages of them where I had to say “no” to each one. Eventually however, it was up and running. Make sure and run app updates. Android 15 comes preinstalled and it should get at least a couple of major OS updates and security updates beyond that for a while. You’ll notice when you first open it how light it is compared to others. It’s solidly built, but not heavy. While it does have an 11 inch screen (diagonally), it just doesn’t look or feel large in the hands. You can hold this for a while without feeling fatigued. The 2.5K screen has a lot of sharp detail at 2560x1600 pixels, and runs at 90Hz so scrolling is smooth. With four speakers (two on each side) the sound is really nice and clear using Dolby Atmos. The 4 gigs of RAM is pretty basic, but enough to do all daily tasks and some minor or midrange games at a decent clip. But beyond that, real heavy duty games might stress the RAM and the Mediatek Dimensity octa-core processor a bit, as I saw some stuttering when I push it hard. You also have two cameras on the tablet; an 8 megapixel rear camera that is so-so ok… good enough for basic photos and documents in good light, but it won’t replace your phone or a dedicated camera by any means. There is a 5 megapixel front facing camera good enough for day-to-day video calls in good light, but in dark light, clarity suffers a good bit as it does on the back camera. The front camera can also be used for facial recognition, or you can use a PIN or draw to log in. The Idea Tab comes with 128 gigs of built-in storage, but there is a micro-SD memory card slot do you can add more if you need it. My particular model says “4G+128 gig” on the back, indicating there must be model variations of this that allow for 4G, but upon looking at the sim tray mine only has room for the SD card if you want. As with anything these days, there are a variety of AI features on the Idea Tab like circle to search, writing assistance in apps, AI summary to shorten search results, language translation, and more. A Lenovo Tab pen can be used to write on the tablet, but unfortunately it is not included unless you get the bundle. A generic USB-C third party pen also works for mine. I would also suggest investing in a decent case at least as well, as while the tablet is built well, it can scratch fairly easily, or buy the bundle that includes a folio case and the pen. A three-pin connector on the bottom of the Idea Tab allows you to connect to a Lenovo keyboard case if you want to go that route. The Lithium-polymer battery lasts all day with mixed use. I haven’t had any rapid drain issues and while it’s midrange fast on charging, it again also doesn’t drain quickly either. And... there's an audio jack! Yay! I would say that the strengths of the Idea Tab are it’s really nice screen, the speakers/sound with an audio jack included (!), and it’s ability to do your daily tasks at a very good price compared to a lot of other tablets. It’s weak spot are the cameras, and the pen not being included. The amount of bloatware it tries to install upon setup, and the fact a folder appears that keeps trying to do it after, are irritating. Still, overall it’s a good deal and well worth the price, and I recommend this.

Not the top of the line but perfect for my personal needs and budget friendly for my wallet. Screen is bright, colors crisp and vivid for my senior eyes, plenty of storage and Wi-Fi ready. This Lenovo Tab -11 is functional with decent battery power to finish any task, which is basically browsing and social media interacting.

The Lenovo Idea Tab 11-inch for 2025 maintains the design of its predecessors, crafted from aluminum and plastic, giving it a clear mid-range feel. Inside the box, you'll find the Idea Tab itself, along with documentation and a braided USB-C charging cable—though there's no charging brick included. Removing the tablet from its protective sleeve reveals how lightweight it is. It boasts a 2.5K 90Hz 2560 x 1600 500-nit IPS display, quad stereo speakers, a SIM tray for microSD storage expansion, and a headphone jack. The tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 MT6835T processor, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It runs on Android 15 with Lenovo's custom UI 17 and comes with support for two major OS upgrades. Overall, the Idea Tab 11-inch for 2025 is a decent mid-range tablet with a few drawbacks. The audio is underwhelming despite the quad stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos only provides a slight improvement. Its biggest downside is its lackluster performance due to the low-end processor and limited 4GB of RAM.
